Really liked this performance. Good job and Merry Christmas!

Ew, tf? Does the trumpet not know what swing is? Actually screw it, do none of them not know what swing is or what tempo the song should be at? This is why the director should play the actual recording of the original so they at least have an idea and don’t suck like this

What happened to the military style for yall now go? I liked it better military style since i march military at Lindale High Schol

My freshman year (2018-2019) we combined military and core which was very confusing but eventually my sophomore year we switched to full core mainly to keep up with the trend in other bands, in my opinion core is a lot more fun and we are able to really able to show our true potential and have better shows
@texasandpacific6103 жыл бұрын
@@ReverendRevolver9896 I agree. Marching corp really allows you to have fun and let your full potential shine for all to see. I March military at Lindale High School. My friend marches corp at TJC.

We where a millicore band and the following year and on they where transforming the style to core in order to go with other bands and have more opportunities to try and go to state if I remember correctly

Why did PT go corps /Military??? Back in my day, they were a phenomenal military marching band. Hurts to see them digress.

Back in the 80s there were a lot of high school bands that marched military discipline/precision but made shapes and pictures on the field without being corps. Beaumont West Brook was a good example. But this Pine Tree performace just seems too corps and too military at the same time. That corps xylophone and the corps style drum majors with the band doing fully military countermarches just seems odd. Good performance technically but can't get my head around the style.

I've been watching the videos of this band for the past few years as they experiment with corps. It kinda reminds of their times in the mid-1980s where they played a lot of non-marches, yet still marched 6-5. This is much better than last year's show where it looked like they were still cleaning up the music and drill into the last week before contest. Congratulations with the straight 1s Pine Tree Band!

I usually hate when military bands put corps aspects in there show BUT this years Pine Tree High School figured it out. It works and I am excited to see what next year holds as this great military band continues the tradition of east texas and the best marching style out there!

So is Pine Tree slowly converting to corps or just trying something different in a non-state year? At best, it looks like mili-corps...still marching 6-5.

I'm going to admit it looks so corps-style that I had a hard time understanding what was going on. The marching looks good for a first game but the music...eh...not a big fan of the music. It sounds like the song for angry ants scattering around.
