Do you want to know why Canadians are losing about $28 billion dollars in tax revenue every year? Why wages have been stagnant for 45 years? Why unions have been demonized? Most people don't understand the difference between conservative and progressive economics. All the left wants to do is bring back the middle class with the promotion of President FDR's New Deal. Did you know prior to the New Deal in 1930 the middle class was almost non-existent? The left leaning New Deal produced the largest middle class ever recorded in American history and in canada. Did you know with the conservative neoliberal movement in Canada, the US and the UK around 1980 wages have been stagnant for the last 45 years for most people, but the rich have increased their wealth from $8 trillion dollars to over $50 trillion dollars. The first thing the conservative/ Republican politicians did in 1980 including Milton Friedman as their advisor was to destroy unions and promote free market deregulation. The right accuses the left of wanting a wealth transfer, what conservatives don't tell you is that there's already been a well-transfer from the poor and middle class to the very rich. Did you know prior to the the left New Deal there was no retirement pension/Social Security? Unions were next to non-existent. Public College was not attainable for middle class people, no unemployment insurance, no disability insurance, no monopoly laws, no minimum wage laws etc etc. The left brought you unions, the weeknd, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, retirement pensions, healthcare, regulations for banks, your food, your water, your air, public schools/public college, minimum wage laws etc etc. Conservative governments fought tooth and Nail against all these policies and continue to do so today. If they tell you they're not against these policies they are lying to you. I don't vote liberal, I vote Progressive NDP which is not radical left as conservatives promote it to be. The NDP is pro the New Deal. That's all. The rich conservative individuals want to label the NDP as communist which is laughable. The New Deal was implemented by president FDR in the US from 1930 till 1980 up until conservative/Republicans and they're rich donors got a hold of it with slash and burn policies. Unions flourished under the New Deal which conservative governments they're very rich donors hated. Do you want to know what the Canadian conservative political economic policies are going to be? Forget about your wages increasing and definitely expect more demonization of unions because in their minds these are radical leftist policies. Canadian conservative politicians are just like Republicans in the US which is to push austerity onto the poor, middle class and upper middle class by cutting government programs with a propaganda that Canada is broke which is nonsense because Canada has its own currency and it can never go broke because it's debts are owed to itself. The national debt is not like household debt. Conservative economists promote this idea to naive Canadians. Secondly the national debt always increases under conservative governments even with the promotion of conservatives cutting government programs like our Healthcare System which used to be one of the best in world up until Stephen Harper and O'Toole cut billions of our Healthcare System and they plan on cutting another $4 billion out of our Healthcare System. Conservative governments deliberately do not want our Healthcare System to function properly this is why they are underfunding it. Once they underfunded it it obviously will not function properly which in turn will make even more people start complaining about our Healthcare System and then conservatives are going to tell you "see leftist government policies do not work we need to privatize everything. This is an old conservative trick. This of course will make the very rich even richer through privatization at the expense of the poor, the middle class in the upper middle class. Then they will push austerity onto the poor and middle class with the idea that Canada is broke and we can't afford government programs that benefit all Canadians. Then they're going to convince Canadians that if you cut taxes on the very rich and corporations, (which is called supply side trickle-down economics) that this is going to stimulate the economy. This is been proven to be nonsense over and over again yet it many people buy into this propaganda. This is called welfare/socialism for the rich and harsh capitalism for the poor and middle class. Wages have been stagnant for 45 years in Canada and the US due to the promotion of Republican / conservative policies of destroying unions, ignoring minimum wage laws, cutting taxes on the very rich, deregulation etc. Forget about your pension being increased, minimum wage laws will be ignored again, unions will be demonized again and I guarantee you all this to be true. The economy always does worse under conservative governments you can look it up. They want to demonize Progressive governments like the NDP which are pro-union, pro minimum wage, pro-government programs like college, public daycare, public dental and very importantly pro-union, pro regulations for water, air, food and finance/banks.
