Ino could have won, but I don't think her jutsu would have worked on Sakura anyways even with Naruto's "interference" because the jutsu itself relies on the opponent's mind (or will) being take over by the jutsu caster's will, so it's like a mental tug-of-war, but at that time Sakura had a really strong will (her "inner Sakura"). And Naruto cheering her on isn't interference because he didn't really do anything to physically affect the match he just cheered. I do believe that there was match fixing in the exams, yes Sasuke vs Gaara for obvious reasons and Neji vs Hinata. To this day I believe it was was fixed by the elders in her clan to get her out of the Chuinin Exams to stop her from either embarrassing the clan in front of the Daimyos and other important people that came during the 2nd round and to get her into the branch family by showing how weak and weak willed she was so she could never change the ways the clan was ran (branch and main family thing) it backfired because ironically Naruto cheered her on too giving her the strength she needed.

You know that if Sakura or Ino were put up anybody even characters that loss their fights that being Hinata Kiba , and Rocklee also even if her mind control not work what does Sakura have over Ino to give her an edge.

@@dartagnanearl1467 Yes for sure, that's why they both got the double elimination route. Sakura had a strong mental (her inner Sakura) which was the literal embodiment of how strong her will (or mental fortitude) was, that was her only edge in the fight. Ino isn't much better as you stated so, you can flip the question and say what does Ino have over Sakura other than her clan tech that is ineffective against her. They were both equally weak, one was just from a clan and had a strong technique while the other had a higher intelligence and mental fortitude.

Hinata should have been on Naruto team due to the fact she his love interest but we can get a interesting realtionship between Sasuke and Hinata due to Sasuke being a Uchiha along with more depth to the byakugan which was under used in series and over shadow not only that can you image Hinata strength after training with Tsunade along with her advance chakra control along with being able to drain chakra point is able to restore others chakra making her get a big improvement in states and unlike Sakura Hinata doesen't second guesses herself and would do what right and stick to her ninja way this would also allow more screen time Neji and other characters if they interacted with them also Naruto should have more on from Sakura during the exams or after Tsunade heal of the mental trauma Naruto and Sakura Friendship is not healthy due to Sakura does it due to him having no parents which is cruel and not justify for actions she makes thought out the series she not useless but annoying to have on your screen making her easier to hate due to finding moment to hate on are thought out the show that takes place after Chapter 3/Episode 3 is Sakura being rude along with being judgemental along with trying to manipulated her teammate into her fake love confession which is disrespectful to think even she would sink that low along with never getting over Sasuke held her back along with ruin her development which tends to happen sometimes with Female fictional characters their whole purpose is to make their love one happy and Hinata has more of a reason for loving Naruto then Sakura ever had for loving Sasuke.
