Thanks, I put a cross beam under it supported by a few 2x3 planks arranged vertically to support it. Then i have a similar contraption in the front of the deck. Be on the lookout for a video coming out in the future with more detailed instructions!

Lake Wally ... any hints for late summer July/August near Spinnler Point ? I’ll be fishing with my 11Grandchildren ! Thanks Bob C.
@GettingFished4 жыл бұрын
If you are fishing from shore or a dock, the best bet for you and your grandchildren might be fishing with live minnows or worms. Fish in different depths, shallow, near shore, and deep, of the ends of the docks, and fish in both areas to see where fish are. Typically fish will be shallower in the early morning and evening, and later they will be in deeper water. If you have a boat follow the same set of guidelines, shallow early in the day, and deeper in the middle part if the day. If you want to use artificial lures, I recommend smaller presentations such as, small grubs, swimbaits, or worms. If you have any more questions or you would like more information you can email me at [email protected]

It would be helpful if you added the areas you were working. I annually fish off of Spinnler Point with a pontoon boat in lat July , early August. Truth be told we’ve had limited success. I’ll keep watching for hints about areas and baits, thanks !

@robertcampbell20824 жыл бұрын
Understood. You’re a Pro, I’m just an amateur grandfather trying To put my grandkids into something other than bluegills off the dock at Spinnler Point. We usually rent a pontoon boat for several days. Before we came to Lake Wally we were at Lake George where we caught smallies day and night. We Go to Lake Wally every other year for one week in late July, small window. Thanks Pop Campbell from Long Island
@GettingFished4 жыл бұрын
Ok, i gotcha, lake george is beautiful! Great smallmouth fishing. Lake Wallenpaupack is definitely a little bit of a downgrade from lake George. The best advice as far as locations in July is deeper water, it gets hot during the summer, and fish tend to go deeper. Try to fish in around 10-20 feet of water, just a little more off the bank than casting at the bank. If you want to fish shallow, try to find areas with vegitation. It is hard to give someone a magic spot because it can change from day to day and even hour to hour. Its better to have several areas in mind and use trial and error to determine the best type of locations. Like deep or shallow, weedy or rocky, main lake or a cove.
