Low easily reached cymbals make it easier for the audience to connect with the drummer.

Def needs a small table grip stand and would be extra cool with a turbo pickup fitted for live band work. Where's Meinl's imagination?

I don't know why, but of all the great drummers that have passed, his loss hits me the hardest. I feel like I have lost a friend, a teacher, a mentor not to mention one of the top 5 greatest drummers to ever live.... 😢

Growing up, I was (and still am) a huge fan of Dave Weckl. But the groove this man had. Insane!

I absolutely LOVE your set, and your videos are very helpful and the language barrier doesn’t make it difficult. Music is universal. Thank you brother🤘

I’m glad this man lived and did what he did before he left us. Massively influential to me and many others decades ago after his death.

I love the fact that the musical flow is put ahead of the time signature and its significance. Music is communication so if you’re trying to outsmart your listener it will likely work and they will no longer listen. Very evolved way of thinking for both Gavin and Simon.

I'll never forget hearing TOTO for the very first time ("TOTO 4", when it landed). I remember thinking, "Holy crap, who is the drummer !!!???". There is no other.

Lotta technique, but in all due respect he doesn’t say anything musically to me - no start ,middle recap ect .I just hear just a bunch of random ideas sewn together, which is typical, of many drum solos as opposed to kind of a compositional style musical approach- good teacher though
