Not sure how to get these wired up. None of these l e d lights have a wiring pigtail. Only a plug

@chadbailey1126 yes unfortunately over time they continue to change products and links, so it's hard to stay on top of it. However what is illustrated in the video is just cutting pigtail and splicing to oem wiring. Thanks for watching, hope this helps

Thanks man I have a harness I bought years ago I haven't installed it because I had to put a stop to my build for health issues now yrs later I am back at it I got lucky on my harness it was just the tach wires crossed everything else checked out good I remember running into your video and others about checking these 2 wires thanks again man I'm sure you saved me a head ache finally about to get my car running thanks

I love ours, its been great. I had to change the crankcase vent on passenger side rear of the head. Took 2 hours and only 100 bucks so can't complain

I had my truck for eight years. I have never had to change the passenger side. I have changed my driver side 8 times lol, I can say I have not had to change the ballast every time though.

Yes they do, they can also be bypassed if you want to avoid another failure point

This is the 2nd person I've seen convert these to LED and I can't see why they do not remove the ballast and cut the wire there, giving you plenty of wire to work with. Then put the ballast back for sealing purposes. Wish I had seen this before I ordered a used Ebay ballast for my STS. Well, now I know how to bypass the ballast.

Yes, the way I did it here is bypassing the ballast. By doing that it avoids a extra possible connection issue from corrosion

Did you get the canbus adapter from Auxito? I looked up my vehicle and they mention a canbus adapter, but I don't see one listed in their products. And much like you said with cheap LEDs from Amazon, I'm sure finding an adapter that works is preferable.

Instead of soldering the wires you should invest in some 2 port metripak connectors in case you ever need to swap the LED. Just unplug it and add a plug to the new light.

i went with aftermarket HIDs works fine but very dim. do u have that issue with LEDs?

Just ordered the plug and play LED bulbs. Thanks for the code. Will the ballast still have power go to the bulb if it’s bad? Or how are we supposed to run it?

So the only downside to the plug and play is if the Ballest has issues or is shorted you will have to bypass it the same way in the video. I prefer to bypass it anyway because it removes a failure point

The link to the Auxito bulbs dont come with the wiring, it's just the bulbs. How would that work to convert to LED? Is there another piece to purchase?

I need to update the video, the bulbs in the link don't require any wiring. They are a plug and play replacement.

why didn't you just cut the D1S connector from the ballast & solder that to the actual power so that you can still plug & play other led bulbs if you decide to change them out?

Because the plugs at the ballast were corroded from all the water. So by doing it the way I did I eliminated two points of failure.

What about high beam and low beam? You just drive around with only low beams all the time? Maybe I’m wrong, but that doesn’t look like a dual beam bulb, and I only saw you hook up 2 wires, but you commented on another comment saying it has both high and low beam…? Can you explain?

Great video. Very thorough. I'm about to do this soon. You should change the top "parking lights " to LED as well. It's super simple and it looks way better! I've already changed my parking lights and DRLs to LEDs. So the headlights will be my final step to full LED conversion. Thanks for the video!

Yo take watts divide by volts tells you your amperage.. 🤦🏽‍♂️ if not no electricity don't play with it... Those batteries are explosive and it blew up on you luckily not you would be seriously hurt that battery got hot in fire luckily didn't explode on you also you x volts x watts gives you your ohms that guides you to your proper wiring gauge don't play with electricity if you not know it

Now you have rtv what happens if bulb goes out?..its glued on

One dot of RTV on the base of the bulb will not glue it on. It's only to take up alittle slack and prevent vibration. Not necessary but if the bulb is loose in the socket it will help. Some aftermarket housings have loose tolerance
