Theres alot of content to go through, like a lot and is all solable as well before they implement "solo" focused gaming. Itll only get beefer once Dawntrail gets released and they open up Shadowbringers for free trial. I wish I had started with Free trial but I didnt know how to go about it back then as it was kind of confusing.

they didn’t include ultimate in the free trial because it would make it easier to clear and sell accounts with clears and also make trollers and griefers a free way to go crazy in party finder. its sad that new players can’t experience those but im glad that they made that decision.

The reason I have a huge backlog is because I get so many games for free. Whether that’s from Steam giveaways, Epic Games sales, or MS Rewards points. It’s given me an opportunity to branch out and try new things. Even if the games are terrible, I can just shrug them off. The problem is I have so many more games than I know what to do with now, so I now have to deal with the paradox of choice. I’m not going to play a game if I don’t want to.

Regarding undyable gear, some gear can be upgraded to become dyable, and some share models with other gear for either alternate colouring, or dye capabilities. For checking if a gear piece has shared models, I usually check garlandtools. Good luck on your adventures!

The problem with multiplayer is it's about who plays the meta strategy. For example if you play FIFA online, it's not about "Who plays the best football", it's about "Who uses the meta strategy". It's fun at the start, but once you see the meta it becomes funny and unrealistic. It doesn't look like football, it doesn't feel like football, and everyone and their grandma uses the same thing.

Great video. I think the truth of it is that Pokémon makes most of it’s money from merchandising so Game Freak doesn’t need to try anymore. They can continue to pump out subpar games but it won’t matter because they’ll still sell like hot cakes. If the game doesn’t sell (of course it will), then oh well they make plenty of money from selling merch of the newest legendaries/Pokemon. I liked Scarlet/Violet for it’s multiplayer and surprisingly decent story (in comparison to the usual Pokémon story) but I’ve come to accept that the glory days are behind us. And perhaps the series isn’t for us anymore now that we’re ancient lol maybe the kids love it. I’d be happy to be wrong though, maybe Game Freak will pop off tomorrow and this comment will age like milk.

Most english voice acting for japanese games are terrible imo. But as long as they offer a japanese audio option as well, i wouldn't mind voice acting being add to Pokemon.

i will say this, until either ai voice acting improves and is implemented or custom self insert namable player caracters goes the way of the dodo, voice acting is not worth it. because they can not properly coexist without some stupid work around to bypass the name. you cant have the voice actor say every conceivable name. codsworth did well and was fun but its still not the same. this is why botw and totk link is the first link to actually be called link, because they need to say it all the time. and i think most people would prefer to name their character after themselves. it is clear that ai voice actors is the only solution to this problem. and we dont want that, i would very much prefer for them to give us an actual character rather than a blank self insert, it allows for them to actujally participate and have agency.

My main complaint is that the freaking pokeball opening sound is so dull in the games, despite the anime pokeball sound effect being one of the most iconic sounds in all of television.

I think the biggest issues for Pokémon are the dlc model, and framerate. everything else doesn't really get under my skin. it's just a little bit annoying that were being capped at 400 Pokémon on base game, and have to pay for DLC to get more. as far as framerate goes, that's been an issue for awhile, might be less of a problem when switch 2 comes.

GameFreak needs to take notes from a lot of things, but in particular games like Botw/Totk. Most of the dialogue isn't voice acted, but they have grunts and sound effects to back up the NPC dialogue so it actually gives the vibe of them talking to you... and when it _really_ matters, they do have full voice acting in the story cutscenes, because that's when its most important.

My only nitpick in this review is about the framerate. For me, if you are going to compare B3 to B2, at least compare it to B2 wii-U version, because that also had variable framerates, and only stabilized when the switch version came. If B3 would be ported to a future nintendo console, I am sure it would also be the same as B2 where the framerates will be stabilized. Also, a tip for breaking all things in the environment, Madama Butterfly have a skill where if you let her jump, she has an attack that break everything around her. It is so satisfying to use in the buildings and other things.

Narrative (not necessary all elements, but at least story, characters or lore must be good) and gameplay are the main factors for me. But sometimes other things also count. I couldn't cope with some rpgs because the music (too few songs looping and not good enough) or the sound effects (death end re. Quest... ugh...) for example. There should be a certain armony between the different aspects of the game. However, i would say that length and difficulty of the game are important for me. Not because i consider a lengthy game better (if it's empty content is just horrible), but because how i organize my play time. In my job the amount of work is not the same all year around, so i usually play shorter games in my busy months, leaving lenghty experiences for the holidays or the more relaxed months. Something similar with difficulty. Having played a lot of rpgs in my life, etrian odyssey 1 and 2 difficulty levels are ok for me and I enjoy that level of challenge, but when I'm in a stressed month i usually prefer something more easy

Please stop talking about octopath traveler II nothing deters me from a game more than someone who won’t stop talking about it you might think it’s one of the best games ever made however the vast majority might not echo those thoughts. On top of that you do a bad job at hiding your biases for example repeatedly bringing up rpgs that should have won rather than what had won that year one final suggestion try other genres and stop trashing on fps games.
