it really depends where you are planning to go in Shenzhen (north side) or just near the border as well as where you travel from in HK. Obviously, the 15mn is just the travel time but have to take into consideration the overall time (customs, waiting ahead before boarding and waiting at the station) which could add additional 30 minutes easily

Lok Ma chau is on the East Rail Line going all the way to Admiralty in HK island, but transportation in HK is pretty convenient and you can change/connect along the way

this restaurant is located in gangxia north station but they have restaurants all around Shenzhen, in most malls you will find one near their food court area

this is actually not a tour agency from Shenzhen but from Hong Kong, however all the meeting points are usually in Shenzhen after the border

its about 45min from shenzhen north to guangzhou south. it is fastest route for guangzhou-shenzhen there are some other routes may takes longer. most of them take about an hour btw, before book the ticket, u better check the train code, the code starts with g or d are both high-speed railway, and the train starts with g will be faster than d ones

Hello, upon booking your ticket, platform will not be displayed on your ticket. Platform and gate will usually be displayed 1/2 hours before departure as I could be subject to change. For your information, Guangzhou is a huge station and can fit 20 high speed train at the same time (meaning 20 platforms). Nothing to be worried but suggest you to arrive at least 1 hour before your departure time at the station to clear the security

it will be in chinese but you will easily recognize it based on the train number and time of departure which is quite clear

When entering HK, you no longer have a stamp on your passport but instead, a slip with the information. As for the entering China (it will count as one entry), if you exit mainland China (and going to HK for example), you might not be able to re-enter depending your visa (if multiple or single entry). The 60 days is the period you are allowed for one entry.

I don't think there is direct transportation from HK to Meizhou, you would need to go to Shenzhen to change

You can buy the ticket at the counter for the next train but nowadays, it will most likely be sold out (for the major routes). In China, ticket can be pre-purchased 14 days before the date of departure and can be either booked through 12306 or trip.com or at the counter

Futian port is on Shenzhen side while Lok Ma Chau is on Hong Kong side. What is separating both is the border/bridge. If you are not taking the metro in either sise, no need to have an octopus. Both have taxi or bus either side

@@jamesanderson6392 Much more straightforward to just use the train, you go right through. For taxi you wouldnt be able to go to Lok Ma Chau or Lo Wu as they are in the Fronter Restricted Zone

There is a road border next to the Lok Ma Chau station which is open 24hrs but only accessible by taxi, bus. Usually people are using this border when the other one nearby is closed. As for Lo Wu (MTR), it is not accessible by car. So definitely suggest MTR overall

if you travel from HK island, it now costs almost 50HKD
