HI. Thank you for sharing your story. I am working with a group of occupational therapy students who are doing research on living with functional movement disorder as part of our class. Could we share the link to our research study on your page? Thank you very much for the consideration.

Thank you. My child has been treated disgustingly. She is totally being dismissed as it being all in her head. Despite being bedbound for 6 months this year's and 5 months of last year. Her hair falls out, she throws up so much. The pain she is in is horrible.

I hate this illness so much. It's stealing her life from her. Seeing her in so much pain is horrendous. There is treatment for this?

There is treatment there’s so much out there and clinics and exercises distraction is a huge part of it too it’s functional so doesn’t show in scans or tests so it’s only when you come across a neurologist that’s aware of this hence my reason for the page

My 13 year old has this. They say it's functional dystonia and so caused by anxiety. She becomes completly bed bound. No movement from the neck down. We get no treatment apart from. Seeing a clinical psychologist. Who do we need to push to see?
