Why hasn't Accounting/finance been mandatory in high schools since Sputnik? Are Boomers to blame that it was not? The Baby Boomers were the first generation to be *Brainwashed via TeleVision!* In 1948 less than 1% of American households had TVs. By 1960 it was nearly 90% and the oldest Boomers were 15. I am a Boomer. One of my earliest memories was sitting on the floor playing with wooden blocks pretending that I had made a television. What society has been more psychologically manipulated electronically than America? "See the U.S.A. in your Chevrolet!" I have Never owned a Chevrolet. I have never owned a new car. Some people have reactionary personalities. Buy stuff to increase GDP so economists can ignore the depreciation! But now Gen-Z has to deal with the results of seven decades of planned obsolescence and economists still do not even acknowledge its existence. What is *NDP* anyway? *The Waste Makers* (1960) Vance Packard *The Screwing of the Average Man* (1974) by David Hapgood Don't worry I am just deluded. Books from 20+ years before you were born cannot possibly be worth a damn. Who wrote this: "In the early ages both of the Greek and Roman republics, the other parts of education seem to have consisted in learning to read, write, and *account* according to the arithmetic of the times." Oh right, 200 years before you were born, who am I kidding?

Inflation is cause by these financial illiterate people and they were those who were most affected by the high interest. They use debt to finance their fantasies e.g expensive holidays, fancy cars etc. If everyone lived within their means, the inflation will not be so high for 2 over years already. Because of their stupid actions, they suffer themselves. Really no brains. Now the world is recovering with interest rate cuts coming, leaving all these dumb people bathing in their own debt.

Any covered call ETF paying more than 7% could be a dividend trap. In other words, the share price of the ETF could keep decreasing even while you keep receiving the dividend. That's fine for old people with ten or fifteen years left to live. But younger people could be patient and wait for ETFs to grow. So a good covered call ETF whose share price will also grow would only pay 5-6% dividend, preferable less. Be aware of what you're getting into with these high yield covered call ETFs.

The amount most people save or count as net assests will never be enough to avoid catastrophe. Seven years ago, my spouse was diagnosed with a blood cancer. I have spent an extra $100,000 per year getting her life saving care, beyond the insurance payouts. If you do not have deep resources when you retire and face such unexpected costs, you will lose everything. Trust me, if you believe a million dollars at retirement is rich, you are a poor thinker.

Not too diluted and to a degree, follows Evelyn’s trading ideas and signal tips for your portfoligrowtho and aggressiveness. Buying crypto and waiting for the price to shoot up is not the best way to invest in the market but buying and trading is. Evelyn Infurna’s trade signaIs does the heavy lifting, generating competitive returns for crypto traders and investors in the form of money and peace of mind. Time in the market vs. timing the market. If you keep that mentality as an investor, you will stay calm during the storm! Useful video. I would like to add I believe there is a huge discrepancy between the boomers that prepared for a career, worked hard, bought a home and paid it off, and saved their incomes diligently over their working lives vs the "lost" members of this generation. As a consequence, I believe that the number of boomers with no savings is even higher- as a member of this generation, I saw many of my generation waste their lives and time pursuing the 60's mantra of "alcohol abuse, sex, drugs and rock n' roll" instead of working steadily. For them, spending what little they had on expensive concerts, extensive vacations and sports betting as opposed to saving money was the preferred lifestyle. Together with criminal convictions that shortchanged their job prospects, they dug themselves into a big hole, and are now among the many uncounted low income or homeless population, or who have left the country. Very sad, but I don't feel like paying for their mistakes.

The increase in home values over the last decade should provide significant reserves in case boomers give out of savings. So they have to go from home ownership to renting, and using their equity for living purposes. Things could be worse. And maybe they move from an expensive city to a smaller town. They don't need the job opportunities, and small towns are more peaceful. If my wife precedes me, I will probably move to Mexico (near Guadalajara).

Boomers don’t seem to be in trouble in Canada. I basically refused to do anything I didn’t like in this life. I only missed four meals in my whole life. Forgot to eat twice, punished once and got lost in Algonquin Park, thankfully just once. Engaged in a lot of vandalism. I never had a Summer Job until I was 20. I usually had to go to Summer School because I never studied or did homework. The Old Man rewarded me with a golf membership. Had a 2nd hand car bought for me as a senior in High School. 1959 Oldsmobile 98 with a 440, 4 barrel. Would go up to Cottage Country some weekends collecting money for the trip from Gramps, Mum and Dad. Had my University education paid for including room & board by my Grandpa. Rarely attended class, basically manipulated my way thru. Got a mediocre Government job to match my abilities. Got a large buyout once I tired of 5 weeks vacation and 5 weeks of sick time. LOL I own Gold, Silver, BTC and some stock thru Mutual Funds. Receive two pensions. Inherited from each of my divorced parents. Married a genius who bore me a genius son with a dynamic personality. My Son reminds me of my 2nd year room mate in University. I didn’t want the lad to turn out like me and I used that room mate as the blueprint. Son is a multi, multi millionaire and as a result I have been able to enjoy many Costa Rican holidays. To my credit I am a generous person having reaped so much and sowing so little.

What went wrong? The American miseducational system did not make accounting mandatory in high schools since Sputnik. Economists do not mention Net Domestic Product and the fact that the depreciation of durable consumer goods is not in the equation. But they call it THE Great Acceleration. Planned Obsolescence replaced the Germans and Japanese blowing stuff up to keep the wheels of industry churning.
