The wind shock shows wind from the left. Yet you're making the approach as if the wind is from your right, crabbing right into the wind and correcting prior to touchdown by applying left rudder and right aileron. Is there anything wrong with the sim regarding crosswind landings?

It seems to me that the pilot needs to start lowering the landing gear while still searching for the ILS beam in order to see the green landing gear lights on the glide path.

Does anybody know how they suspend the airplane during The landing gear sequence? I’m guessing large straps or maybe there are some attachment points that are part of the fuselage?

They have hoist points all around the aircraft. Typically one on each wing and one either in the front or the back of the aircraft they use hydraulic jacks to lift the aircraft off the ground.

This is a350, it is one-story, and the A380 is a two-story

The Airbus A380 has about 4 landing gears (mainly the back ones) just like the 747 but its reversed and not tilted as much, while the A350 has only 2 landing gear (if you dont count the nose gear)

The inner gear is last to deploy, but the inner gear doors sequence first and then hang there open while the outer gear deploys. That's curious. I wonder if there's a story behind that decision.

I think it is just the distribution of hydraulic power available. Not enough to move both gears at the same time, but one set and the doors.

There is an Airbus doc on KZbin of how they designed the landing gear and the problems they ran into just to get it to work.
