Hi, Could you advise what parts I need to do a centre speedo conversion to an SPI, I have the analog speedo, dials and black housing. Is there a bracket for fixing the housing. Any advice much appreciated. Good video! Cheers from Scotland!

@@rondon73 Hi mate, my speedo binnacle is just held in with holes straight into the firewall, but it's a mk1 so I'm not sure what's involved with the spi! I assume the Speedo sensor is slightly different, minispares sell a version that fits into the A+ gearbox but the plugs on the Speedo end should be the same. Not too sure on the wiring situation in an SPI though sorry!

The intake and turbo manifolds were from a Facebook page called BoostMini, and the turbo specific carb and plenum for it came from an MG Metro Turbo. The rest was all custom, engine specs and build I did myself.

Hello, nice car, I have the same one. What setup? Stock engine? Stock cylinder head? pressure ?

Lots of work done to the engine. Lightened crank, forged pistons, custom turbo cam, 295 head with big valves, heavy duty clutch, lightened flywheel, quaife diff. Mg metro turbo carb and plenum, t2 turbo intercooled. Currently running 14psi boost.

what top speeds are you getting. I'm thinking of doing the same with my 998

Top speeds all depend on what diff ratio you're running. I'm running a 3.65:1 diff, sits at 4k rpm at 110kmh so theoretical max would be maybe 165kmh at 6k rpm. A longer diff ratio would give you a higher top speed, but being only a 998 it would be a bit slower getting off the mark. It's all a tradeoff, depends what you want to do with the car 🙂
