I was beaten often as a child for various things. One time, my dad grabbed me by the throat, choked me for a few seconds, then picked me up by the throat and threw me THROUGH the bathroom door. Once i realized he was trying to dominate me, to shape me through fear and pain, I bent every fiber of my will to not allowing him to change me, for any reason. It was a contest of wills, and i won. Fear of a beating, whether it was a switch, a belt, hands, fists, sticks, cords, or anything else he picked up, never once made me change a behavior. I simply learned to lie better.

I’m a step parent and simply put they are my kids too. I would do anything for them and we love each other fiercely. Bonus Mom or Dad is more our pace. Sometimes God gives us blessings in the form of more family to love.

Sorry to hear that! I complain and I had my mom for 22 years before she passed in 2011. 13 years feel like it’s been longer than that. This gentleman lost his mom when he was 4 and it’s been over 38 years for him. When you think you have it bad someone always has it worst! Keep your head up my brother! ✊🏾✊🏾

i think its extremely dangerous for people. but especially black people to find this middle.. ground... in politics. i got to be honest.. im a keep it a buck.. i think its a cowardly position. that is easy to sell as a bold position. and i really think people are socially being bullied into that position. becasue listenging to you talk, and how you process things.. and that you think... like you should have way more of a defined political stance.. im going to be honest. it feels like your playing in this safe place, where your not trying to stir things up... but as far as the actual podcast........ dope! mf dope.. def one of the better podcast ive come across. as far as discussion, and chemistry
