@@narwhalkid I actually came to this video from the remake. I saw it and was curious about the original video on it since I first only knew about it from a rhythm game and didn't know how old the song actually is. I was thinking that there's no way that the original one that I heard in the rhythm game was actually from that long ago but apparently it is which is crazy to me because of how, idk, "modern" it sounds (yeah you should be able to tell my lack of music knowledge now). Oh yeah, the remake video does say that it's for the 20th Anniversary of Yume Nikki, but that doesn't mean the song is from 20 years ago since it's not an official song for the game, right. Even the description of the remake video says that the song was originally released in 2010. Well, it doesn't change anything about the song, though xd.

For me, personally, this is more of a happy song. I have discovered yume nikki at the time of my life when I finally started getting everything together, and that song kind of reminds me of that times. Madotsuki's instrument is a flute, and yet in the game she doesn't really focuses on it. She just recognizes it just as a small bit of her whole personality, and that's it. And the whole game is mostly just bits and pices of her psyche that she traverses trough, mostly unemotionally. But in this song I can see her fully recognize it and even, in some form, taking pride in it. It's not just that flute itself or the random noises that it can make, now she plays a whole full - fledged song. And look at her -- she seems to be really enjoying it. What was just a mundane part of her life now is a thing for her to be proud of, to define her and to be worth living for. The song itself gives me a feeling, that, no matter how much you can show other people your inner world, you're the only one who can fully appreciate it. You're tho only one who can see it at it's fullest, to see it in all of it's beauty in all of it's details. Only you can be you, the only and the one you.

it's a little shrill with the organ(?) instrument. if you still use this account, you really ought to remaster it with better volume balancing and possibly changing some of the instruments. the bass could stand to be a more natural sounding string instrument, for example.
