Well yeah. You can use it like a standard air purifying respirator due to its 40mm nato threaded intake ports. Simply remove the tank and unthread the hose and thread a 40mm nato filter. Now whatever filter you choose will ultimately depend on the contaminants you face

@@domp5014 that was another thing I didn’t understand......how long do these filters last until they aren’t able to be used again. Also I imagine that removing the hose isn’t something that could be done on the spot. (Please forgive me if I’m not a gas mask expert >~< )

@@jakeb.7997 well you literally just unthread the hose, pretty straight forward. The hose uses the same connection as 40mm filters as well. Also, filter life will ultimately depend on the present contaminates. For example, if you’re protecting yourself against particulates, the filter will basically last until the filter is clogged up with so much particulate matter that it hinders breathing. It’s a different story for other contaminates, however, such as gases and vapors

@@dylankellyquinlan4680 yes KZbin recommended me this video BECAUSE I watched weaponsandstuff93's review on the mask. He ended up forgetting to unfold the oral nasal cup inside the mask which led to the respirator not venting in the beginning.
