why are yall complaining, he is going at perfect speed unlike some people who treat us like dumasses and repeat the same thing like 10 times. He explained it perfectly and super easy to understand. basically, just solve it like a 3 x 3

5:20 All edge pairings on a gigaminx can be done with solely 3-cycles, which can be proven mathematically. Cases such as OLL parities on regular 5x5 is not possible unless you dismantle the puzzle.

When I solved middle squares I found a routine way to assemble crosses, and then put corners one by one. It is a routine but easily to program. But if I solve it my self I like that logic part. All is OK until 'you need to remember those two simple combinations'. I loose all interest in cube assembling after that. I wish there was some logical way to solve those. Without learning 'basic 50 strategies not to loose in chess in first 5 moves' thing. = ))

This is an incredible tutorial. I am new to square one but quickly learned that the shape at 1:38 is by far the most challenging to permute into another easy combination of shapes.

if you're talking about the one with 5-1 on top and parallel edges on the bottom, what you can do is pair the bottom edges with 4 edges on top while putting an l on the bottom and you'll have 5-1 and L
