I would have to disagree that this is the best introduction to Wes Anderson, I would say that is actually fantastic Mr fox, as Wes style its a lot less ... imposing or distracting as a style in animation.. this is the MOST Wes Anderson film, and is my favourite, and I understand why someone would want to show it off, but I think one can enjoy this film a lot more when you are already accustomed to Wes
@thebigroompodАй бұрын
Fantastic Mr. Fox was my (Cam's) first Wes Anderson, and I'd have to agree with you. It's definitely more palatable as a movie. I wouldn't necessarily call Budapest a hard watch, but I do get where you're coming from for sure.
@McRino1Ай бұрын
@thebigroompod I don't personally find it a hard watch at all. Wes is one of my favourite directors since I saw life aquatic at the age of 15/16 then... it was so wildly it's own thing I loved it and wes style from then. Grand Budapest to me is a comfort film haha.

Suspension of disbelief is something that’s different for everybody very often it depends on how much you know about certain topics and finding parts of what your watching that align with that knowledge

Mint mobile deadpool 😂😂😂😂

That's because Ryan Reynolds sold the aviation Gin company in 2020 and sold mint Mobile in 2023 and the movie came out this year so he wouldn't have gone with those things anymore... Not only could I see Ryan Reynolds doing that I could see him being really blatant and hilarious about putting his own things in his movie. 😂

There wasn't any wifi at the time, then the funny part was the human technology and alien technology used the same base x64 processing, the same interface, the same ports 😂😂😂😂 like damn, we had the same computer tech and we was getting are asses kick. Amazing

The justification I've heard, fan made, is that they had the alien ship for decades and our tech was based on what they learned from it. So, interfacing with it wasn't actually that far fetched.

the movie was the most 90s action bullshit. hacker says "i'm in," veteran prez leads the final battle after giving St Crispin's Day speech, Will Smith says "aw hell no!" all of the dialog is snarky and often ends with a dramatic reaction. my favorite is the "what about the people outside" slow stand. 😂😂😂

You gotta admit though, the "WELCOME TO EARTH" one-liner is pretty sick haha
@johnnydystar60726 ай бұрын
@thebigroompod lol, yeah, that was pretty good, but correct me if i'm wrong, that was after Jimmy took off his air supply so he could breathe and hear the fat lady, right? then after, Steve drags that encounter suit all the way from the Grand Canyon to Groom Lake, yeah?

I think Tolkien was smart enough to realize there is no real, singular hero. Even Boromir was necessary for the destiny of the ring to be fulfilled. It's a story made by a really smart guy who lived through WWI There are no heroes. Everyone is my brother. My captain.

I’d split it between Sam and Aragorn, leaning a little more into Aragorn. Neither gave up hope throughout the journey. Sam, as you said - and Aragorn, when he convinced Gandalf that there is still hope left and changed his attitude. Gandalf who is so incredibly wise had to be convinced by Aragorn. He also charged the black gate as a last ditch effort to give Frodo and Sam more time. They both had the ring in their possession and gave it back to Frodo as well, resisting the urges (Aragorn resisted a little stronger than Sam, but he also wasn’t around it as much to be fair). Aragorn also did so much more across the trilogy. He saved both Rohan and Gondor, conscripted the army of the dead, and became King. There’s very few characters that could be removed from the story with zero consequences, especially within the fellowship. But with all Aragorn did, in my personal opinion he’s the greatest hero out of the bunch

I always thought that they showed it the first time to add context that force users can move at that speed kind of like in shows where you can see a monster in the dark but the character can't. But in the characters reality it is most likely pitch black

He didnt have rhe stanina, notice Mual is meditating by pacing and Gin is sitting down. If anything this shows obis lack of experience. If he would of sat down and meditated, he wouldnof had the energy to force speed.
@leonewulfe51378 ай бұрын
The common theory is that obi wan didnt stop and meditate, taking the time to replenish from the strain using the force takes on you, where as qui gon and maul did. Maul being a sith essentially broods as meditation, pacing back and forth building his anger, qui gon traditionaly meditates, obi wan is in a state of panick, rather than thinking tactically.
