So your problem can be two fold. Graphics definitely make a difference, I recommend playing with the Sharpness setting to make silhouettes easier to identify. The other part comes from the spawn system. It's not as predictable to tell where people are going to post up all the time, so it's better to stick to how you'd approach a new game. With tactical shooter experience, that is Ana frontage for you! Keep moving when you're in motion, but don't be afraid to post up and wait as long as 15 minutes in a spot if you're suspicious of something. Patience is an underrated factor. Not a problem! We knew he was in that general vicinity at the time, since we took out the leading of the two players. Since we knew the general area, we were looking for abnormal movement. In game, there's not a lot of moving objects except when wind is present. That's what allowed us to track him. Hope that answered your question, happy to explain more if needed!

Sorry for the late reply on this, if you're still struggling with this concept, I highly recommend looking for high points and for areas you'd think traffic would be high. Think natural trails, anywhere that's a direct line from two points of interest, or areas that look like they could be funnels. Wish I'd seen this sooner, hope you're doing better now!

So it's situational. Usually, if you're in a hostile zone, you should never run through open areas, or at least not in the middle of them. It's best to take the edges and go pieces at a time. If you hear something close, don't stop moving. If you hear something in your area, take cover in relation to it. It's hard to give exact tips since Tarkov is fairly dynamic in how players move, and each map has its own nuances. Best advice I can give is, if you're getting popped when listening, you might be sitting in spots that expose you. And if you're getting ambushed, you're following known traffic areas and need to switch up your pathing. That's about the general advice I can give when it comes to open areas though, I usually avoid them.

​@@setokibah4476 Yeah i get tarkov is dynamic like that, but what you have said is likely going to be very helpful, as those things you said not to do, i tend to do when i think about it. Besides, any advice people can give, even if its just a general direction, is good despite what some may think. I just want advice, even if its vague. Stuff like 'If you hear something close, don't stop moving' gives me at least a line of thinking as to how i can utilize this and failures/success trying this will get me thinking. Coming from other communities like fighting games where advice (even vague) can be helpful; things like 'throw more' still gives at least some kind of lead. In tarkov best answer i get is (unironically) "copy lvndmark" and nothing else. Its more to the fact as well that if i record my deaths, i dont know what im looking for so its hard to effectively make a judgment on what i did wrong if i dont understand what im looking for; if that makes any sense. Apologies for the rant, thanks again for the video and the advice (as hard as it may be to give)

I do agree, Tarkov shares quite a few similarities to DayZ, especially dealing with unknown danger from players. VoIP made a huge difference too.
