Afraid I've done nothing more in life than love Buddy's music and Austen's books.

Love this video, love the song, love the way it's slowed down a bit. Able to catch more nuances.

Just saw it this weekend in tv ^^ Is it just me, or does the food in Ghiblis movies look always extremly delicious. I personally always get hungry when I see a character eat in those movies. XD

Anyone else feel like this movie ended too quickly? I feel like it was really rushed in the end and I was left feeling unsatisfied...as if their was a break in the story or a quick sum-up of due to budgets cuts. I feel like I was missing some part of the story.

Still looking at this, I got quite upset when Kiki couldn't understand Jiji anymore.

It's a way of cheating. A true flutist would know how to play this by ear, since it's not even that hard.

agreed... or characters in every cliche JRPG. Films don't have to have complicated plots or lots of action to be good. So many 80's movies were just about every day life that real people can relate to. And that's what made them so great. We've all been Ferris Bueller before, ect... Car chases, battles, T&A and shit blowing up do not a good film make, IMO. This is also my favorite Ghibli film.

My own opinion is that losing her ability to talk to her cat was a symbol of her reaching maturity. I'm not sure if she gets to talk to him again.

Don't Be SAD!! I'm pretty sure once she got her magic back she could talk to him again, they never showed it but that's what I think happened

This movie was faantastic. I felt soo sad at the end though when her cat didn't talk anymore :'( But good movie. I remember seeing it a few times when I was younger but DEFINITELY not as much I as Laputa, I think (Laputa is my all-time favourite Studio Ghibi (Ghibli?) film :])

The first Miyazaki film I ever saw (and have seen the most) and still one of my all time favorites. I now own every Ghibli film that Miyazaki directed (which I believe is nine). I can't for him to finish his next one next year. =D

The thing that save all this movies is the music. The set are very interesting, but I think that in fact nothing relevant goings on. Anyway, the animation is simply splendid.

The last time I saw this movie, I saw the starting criying, because my grandfather had die the last month and I had been remembered him. I fininished the movie with a smile and so relaxed. Studio Ghlibi's movies are magic for me.
