I'm lv 62, just beat a base that took me 5 attempts. 3 Grapplers and a Doom cannon, the player was lv 72 with 2 ice statues. Everything was maxed out on the base, it was the hardest base I've ever done with tanks. I used Bullit. He had the hq at the back and had a grappler at the front, middle and back by the hq. He destroyed me in the first 4 with Everspark so I switched to Bullit with taunt and left the first grappler at the front whilst destroying the other two. Bullit was the saviour and I took the base. Hardest base I ever took with tanks. Tried taking it with smoking then but I didn't use Bullit, I still got really far but the grapplers got me in the first attempts

I think people use Tmed to reduce casualties. If time is not an issue for you, you might as well protect whatever you have. If you need to attack multiple bases in a row, medics are useful especially without instant training.
