Cribbing is good for MUCH more than rescue for example capturing lift progress on machinery and during vehicle maintenace. That's why I visited here.

Lost me at drowning being a "global diaster" Drowning is NOT a frigging disaster. Drowning is a failure to swim. One can easily drown in the bathtub.

Excellent way to break the shelf in front of an incapacitated victim and send them to the bottom. Quit hooking up in the back. Your back doesn’t flex that way and you are going to hurt your rescuers. Use a buoyant cinching sling for incapacitated victims. Seperate it by 6 feet for weight dispersion.

Question, If that fails to give enough lift, what will the effect be when a traditional dash lift or push is needed. Will the lift carry across to the dash.without the crash bar there?

@21:10 you make reference to Dive reflex? Did you mean Gasp reflex? Mammalian Dive Reflex slows down blood flow, to aid the conservation of Oxygen when under water. Gasp or Torso Reflex is due to sudden immersion leading to rapid uncontrolled inhalation.

This is so hard; can you imagine being in the basement with that 31x17 window at 60 inches off the ground. This fire fighter would not have the same opportunity to get out, either would the other fire fighters there to help him. Please consider an Egress Window in your homes.

I've recently joined a rescue organization and have been trolling through you tube for tips to help my training. Not once have I seen just try the door handle first to see if the door is unlocked and open. Is there a reason for this. Cheers Tony
