Thanks so much ❤ for this; there's so much wisdom in your response. In my own understanding, I would say marriage is like a tree and children are like the fruits. The tree nourishes the fruits, but the tree itself needs nourishment. If it is not nourished, both the fruit and the tree will suffer. So, as important as taking care of children is, it should never come between the marital bond but rather strengthen it. At one point, you'll have to be intentional about intimacy; one won't always feel it necessary at the moment, but in the long run, you'll see the effect. Also, as you said, ma, there should be no assumptions in marriage. Communicate; don't assume he or she will understand. Communicate, or one will be putting oneself or the relationship in trouble.

I'm not even planning on marrying a woman within my age group. I prefer going for much younger ladies like 12 - 14 years apart. There are ladies 21 who are even more mature in reasoning. So it's about preference and what we want in life. So as long my decision does not go against the Word of God, I know that I'm in walking in His will for my life

Generally, i think the hallmark for this should be Maturity and intentionality toi, not just age. There's no doubt that this young generation has fed on a lot of toxic information about relationships and marriages, however, there are exceptions to this as well. I've seen an 18yrs Old Girl who was so matured at her age, got married to a Man of over 30 years and the marriage is thriving and beautiful, while there are still other older ladies that thinks like a child. So the point shouldn't necessarily be about the age alone but Maturity should be tagged along the age. There are very young ladies that are super matured and Can sustain a beautiful marriage. I just believe in being an Adult first and then passing the second test of Emotional, Mental, Spiritual and Financial Maturity. Be Intentional, teachable and committed, and then Learn from the right source, just as we have you both, and the process will be less toughened and beautiful.

Another woman’s husband, can never be your husband!!! That said, the person who asked the question sounds like they need healing from some wounds that have altered the way they see God and receive love from Him. Getting whole would be important before getting presented to the man God has for you.
