Hi, Is there someplace I can purchase this arrangement for my elementary school concert band? I would love to try it with them :)

I played this song in band in 2013 in bernalillo new Mexico. It is by far my favorite and most memorable song from high school band. We played in a state adjudication and placed well. Thanks to my band director Bo Rogers. This song sticks in my memory. I was a tuba player at this time and band class helped me realize my passion for music.

This is not Lassus and the previous commenter is entirely correct - this is music of Johann Pezel. Please correct this.

The song was written for my best friend's daughter, Maddie. She was an amazing soul, full of life, mature beyond her years. Our high school's director commissioned Mr. Standridge to write a tribute to her. He captured her beautifully, and you have honored her with your performance. Thank you for the heart with which it was performed. I miss her deeply, and I will go tell it on the mountain how beautifully you performed her tribute.

This sounds like Johann Pezel, not Orlande De Lassus. What gives?

I'll give them credit for doing it, though. It's not a professional orchestra, the tempo is too slow and stage isn't miced properly. But it's still a catchy tune brought to you by the talented Danny Elfman.

That trumpet is absolutely TERRIBLE! Very often trumpets are the weak link in Big Bands. 99% suck at anything remotely high but they still try it. Please stop!

wheres all of this aggression from, these people are performing for their friends and family as you can see in the audience. and saying that it was just the trumpet underperforming is tunnel vison. the whole band could improve as a whole but thats not what their there for. there their for fun, so maybe consider therapy instead of taking out your anger problems online?

@@baro5783 Not aggression it's a critique. Trumpet players should play within their range. No one wants to hear loud out of tune trumpets. It really wrecks the performance and it's very inconsiderate.

Enjoyed this very much. Audience obviously did not understand the significance of this unique opus by Leroy Anderson . He would have been impressed by the level of performance of this musical organization.

<Netflix Servo Voice>...... and no one on that stage has seen a single episode. It's like when you see that the composer for Terminator is like some geeky modern day Mozart type. And it's like "That guy would NEVER pay to see a Terminator movie! How'd he get to score one?" Or maybe that's the genius of it all. The fact that you expect to see some Trent Reznor type scoring something badass like Terminator, but no. That's just NOT how life works, is it? No matter how edgily cool we think the world gets, it's still the geeks who run things. I could go on all day.....

Beautiful performance, folks. Only wish it was the original band scoring. This one left out all the muted trumpet fanfares! And dumbed down the rhythms to boot! So disappointing. Pity the original band arrangement is permanently out of print!
