Hey man I've got a few questions about this same kind of bus and want to connect with you for some insight

Where the oil filter located on this truck. I looked all over engine and thought it was the water oversteer at first until I wiped it down and saw it said coolant filter on it. My 2001 which is identical to this has been nothing but a nightmare and my tow costs have been killing me. Had to change the fuel pump 3 times before I got one that finally worked and haven’t had issues with it since.

I’m sorry but I’m confused about what the parts are named and how they interact with each other. I’ve watch this video a couple of times and you aren’t showing the camera much just walking back and forth between the line of boxes on the curb and the engine area. There’s no close up shots. Maybe it’s clear to you or people that work on the engine’s and understand what parts you are talking about. I’m sorry but I would like to see a video of each part and a shot close up of the wiring harness for that specific item. You covered plenty of ground icp sensor the injection control pressure. ipr the injection pressure regulator cam position sensor Hpop high pressure oil pump reservoir drain or access No mention of the fuel heater circuit inside the fuel bowl which if shorted can cause a no start condition There’s no mention of the oil levels other than that hpop reservoir You don’t mention fuel tank or low pressure fuel pump or minimum pressure of fuel at the hpop I’m an owner of the 99 7.3 and have been seeking to understand enough about the engine and the various problems. I’ve had about all four you mentioned plus glow plugs and loose battery terminals plus sometimes not starting at all after the truck is driven in the rain and shut down. I worked it out by using a large screwdriver to jump the big nuts on the solenoid on the passenger side fender with the key on. I’m sure there’s a way to fix that but I haven’t found a mechanic yet who is willing to work out what wiring is rubbed through and causing the problem. Once I restart the engine and drive a while, 1 hour, the engine restart problem is resolved and until the wiring gets wet enough again to expose the bare spot or spots to reproduce the problem it’s basically undetectable.

Is there a way of contacting you with a quick question about the 444e? Mine is dying when it's warmed up and put into gear. Replaced or serviced: ICP, IPR, CPS, H-pop, fuel pump. Probably stuff I'm forgetting. I'm getting code 42 from the scanguageD I bought that you suggested. Cleaned all the fuel lines, replaced the fuel filter, and inspected fuel tank, fuel pressure regulator, screen, bowl, and added a supplemental fuel pressure at the tank. It starts right up, just won't run under load once it warms up. Great Vid!

Dude I need your help I bought a school bus and someone ripped all the wiring out of it and now it wont start. Can I replace the computer so the bus will start? So many safety stops in a bus. I would pay for your advise. Its a 2001 International 444e engine

Mostly super good info... biggest thing I have to say.. DO NOT USE A CHEAP ELECTRICAL METER... you will melt things, destroy solenoids or motors or injectors, and can even take out computers. Not to mention have inaccurate results.. and never. Never. Never use test light without proper resistance (noid light)

So i have a 96 int 3800 bus with t444e and i cannot find the separator. have you ever seen them in strange places? ive traced down the framerail and i dont see it anywhere where i see fuel lines. i have a service panel inside the bus, could it be under there?

That does nothing to troubleshoot the cause. Just replacing a ton of various parts fixes which issues? You have to diagnose a problem in order to solve it, and the engine not running is a symptom, there must be a reason and that reason has a cause.

Let me clarify this KID'S misconception of it being a Ford 7.3L Diesel. Ford didn't build the 7.3 INTERNATIONAL DID. Ford purchased RIGHTS to put the INTERNATIONAL 7.3L Diesel in their Ford trucks. NOT the other way around.
