I am a 56 yo California mom of 2 boys. My oldest passed away in 2018 @ 21 yo & my youngest is 25 now. My oldest was super smart, (computer programmer and 1 of the top beta testers for “League of Legends”, very empathetic, but shy and could not handle this cruel world. He was 6’3” blond wavy hair, blue eyes and looked like a Viking. He was beautiful inside & out. BUT I wish I could have introduced him to YUNGBLUDs music. He would have loved him, His music, his style and how outgoing he is. My son was like me and LOVED music and the style. I introduced him to Bowie, Queen, Black Sabbath & Ozzy of course. Metallica, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Blondie, Depeche Mode, Berlin, Dead or Alive, Disturbed, Adam Lambert, The Script. & so many more. would sing at the top of our lungs (out of tune and some wrong lyrics 🤷‍♀🤘) but these are my favorite memories of him. I was able to share my love of music with him and that “it's ok to be different, just be true to yourself” (and, as my boys like to tell me “I’m a little bit of evil & twisted mixed in). Ironically, he loved when I would bring him home clothes like punk, rock and anything British esp lots of zippers, snaps, leather, lots of accessories. I had kilts made for my boys but he passed before he was able to finish the fittings. 🙏😭 I grew up in the 80’s and music was my salvation. I Loved it all (not really country except for Garth Brooks). Full black eyeliner and mile high hair (although I went full Sinead @ 17 and my dad wouldn’t look or talk to me for a month until it started to grow back). I embraced the punk/rock look. My grandparents were from Scotland (Wallace) @ I went full British punk / new wave / rock all mixed together. Black, lots of safety pins, jewelry, pounds of hairspray and gel, heavy makeup, a few kilts it short of course (in black or Wallace red) trench coats. It was such a great time. No autotune, no pitch correction & lots of great artists & bands coming from overseas. I think YUNGBLUD would have killed it in the 70’s & 80’s. I think he is a bit of Bowie, Mercury, Ozzy, & Lambert all mixed in to one very talented artist.I am hoping to make it to the next BLUDFEST. Fingers crossed 🤞 Keep up the great work Dom and be true to yourself. Tune out the haters, they just want to tear you down not build you up. ❤🙏🤘😊🤩

Mate, love the vid but I would say it’s not over, it never is, even the best musicians like Freddie mercury, Ozzy Osbourne, Bowie, blondie and even Elvis Presley get hate, people just can’t recognise real talent

I’m a musician and person who’s watched WAYYYY too many YB interviews. I think the hate (specifically abt music) comes from something a lot of young musicians including myself have done: cosplay our heroes. Now I don’t mean it literally, what I mean is that as a young musician you often look to your heroes to help guide you. You want to make something like MCR, Queen, and The Cranberries, but you don’t treat it like YOUR music. After the YB3 hiatus, he started talking about his music differently. When talking about new music he’ll often talk about how he’s loved being The Clash, Bowie, The Cure on different song, but now he wants to be Yungblud, make Yungblud music. I think that might be what’s bothered people so much and I really hope he gets to change their mind in YB4. Also, stepping away from the American mainstream and investing in his audience has also helped his reception change.

Almost every hate comment I see these days are from older men who couldn’t find there way around a guitar if it was shoved where the sun don’t shine. Their opinions don’t mean anything and yungblud is finally getting the love he deserves. He’s done so much for us all and he is a shining light in the dark. He inspires so many people. He inspires me. I started writing music again because of him. I’m picking the guitar back up because of him. He is an amazing human being and I’m so proud to be part of the black hearts club. 🖤🖤

It looks great! I remember a friend of mine in the late 90's had a full on black room with splattered neon paint colors everywhere. It was one the coolest rooms. I have a bunch of VHS tapes too. You have great taste in movies as well as music. I think it's rad you get to have a space to put everything you love and hang out with people you love doing what you love. That's what it is all about.
