Honestly the entire message was eye opening. Not that anyone will see, but some things that stood out to me: 1:40:19-1:42:18 That by imitating Christ, walking righteously, and being proud in our identity in Christ, we give glory to God, rather than take away from His glory. That by following in His example we aren't taking away from His awesomeness, but are rather amplifying His glory, and honoring Him. How great an impact does our God have, that those who believe in Him strive to be like Him? The part at 1:47:00 was really interesting. I also appreciated the comment at 1:32:25-1:33:10, because that is so true! This growing generation is tired of being treated like children, of being treated like we need to constantly be kept entertained or stimulated in order to keep us going to church or seeking God, when in reality we just want God. Simply the presence and knowledge of him. Games and all that is fine and good, but at the appropriate time. We seek to know the Lord on a much deeper and personal level. The point should not be to keep the youth in the church, because you can't force them to have a relationship with God. Rather, by revealing God's heart, nature, love for us, and giving us the opportunity to deepen our understanding of him, you allow for GOD to work in the hearts of the youth. By planting the seed in the youth, you allow for them to grow their own relationship with Christ (with help and guidance from those God put in place to lead), and THAT PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP is what will keep them in the church and following God, not the entertainment.
