That's 5/8 radius , take out those radius pieces for t 1/4" radius with a 1/2" motising bit. As a door hanger that doesn't like too bad of a set up. No template guides and adjustable. Is it adjustable for the hinge placement from stop side to hinge pin side. Thanks for sharing

How do you keep the router from chewing up the template?
@Jonehughes11 күн бұрын
The router bit that comes with the kit has a ball bearing on it that runs along the rail of the template One of these days KZbin is going to allow us to post pics But until then you got to go look it up and see what the router bit looks like that comes with the kit

Make sure you’re using the correct guage nail for your Ryobi. A 16ga will not work in a gun that requires 18ga. Learned this the hard way!

@JonehughesАй бұрын
@@aclive2022 I've been working with FRP since 1985 And I don't know anything about dust When you cut it with a skill saw it's big thick chunks being ripped out of there instantly Same thing with the jigsaw or a hole saw It's not like wood that has a bunch of dry parts that makes a bunch of dust that you can breathe in There is no fine dust I've never worn a mask And only when my boss was around back when I had a boss Did I even put on glasses when cutting it It's just an awesome material That does its job

Did you say it is 1/4” above the cardboard?
@JonehughesАй бұрын
@@craig2535 It all depends on which drain you use but most of them stick down about 3/4 of an inch below the bottom of the shower pan so if your drain is sticking up a quarter inch more than the cardboard that's a half inch all together above the floor and then with the drain sticking down 3/4 in that's now an inch and a quarter of drain pipe sticking into the shower drain and inch and a quarter is how much rubber you have on the self ceiling rubber gasket so it's kind of a crap shoot between a quarter inch above and a half inch above or so you may be able to get away with a little bit higher but soon as you go too high then you can't get the tightener to tighten down the gasket

This style was much better the new one HomeDepot offers today is crap. The adjuster to set hinges size pushes in from the outside and with vibration it comes out. This style makes more sense than the crappy version Ryobi puts out now.

What about cutting out an electric outlet? Just a razor knife? And I was going to use general spray adhesive to stick it to the drywall. Will that work? Basically I have a 3x3 patch where a water fountain was.
@JonehughesАй бұрын
@@montanaguy51 You can give it a shot but it's really really hard and very dangerous because it's so hard to cut you might slip and hurt yourself Because you have to apply so much pressure to make it work You'd be much better off with an oscillating tool with a steel blade plastic blade might work but still would be better because of sharper and stronger If you can get the spray adhesive to work that'll be fine for a small job but usually you need to use FRP glue nothing else sticks to it
@JonehughesАй бұрын
@@montanaguy51 also they sell FRP glue in tubes And if the sheet isn't already installed Using a drill on the four corners and then a skill saw or jigsaw between them is fine too

Had them. Used them. Yes they will bow under weight over time. Yes, in winter, if you're moving, they have a high probability of cracking due to cold temperatures. Yes, several shelves of mine cracked, on the moving truck, in winter. Yes the driver specifically stated, that there was a good chance of damaged plastic. Yes, they were still useable. And also note, spiders love all the nooks on the underside of the lowest shelf. So if you are bringing them inside to use after being in the garage for a while, it would be a good idea to spend some time cleaning thoroughly before bringing them inside.
