@georgewilson1184, sadly, Mack has stopped producing its manual transmission. We still have the ability to spec Eaton Fuller manual transmissions.

@@georgewilson1184 you are correct. Eaton Fuller Transmissions only have 2 countershafts. Their 8LL makes a great construction transmission for drivers that are trained to drive a manual transmission.

I like the mirrors on these Pinnacles. A company near me has Pinnacles, but with the west coast mirrors instead. I don’t like west coast mirrors.

Yes the chrome Bulldog mirrors with lights are a great option for these awesome trucks.

No, They are an optional mirror for the Mack Pinnacle. Standard mirrors today would be aero body colored mirrors that are motorized.

When he was showing the engine he said, “it has 500 hp and 850 lb ft of torque.” The spec for that d-13 at 500hp rated is 1,750 lb/ft of torque. As for the 3.08 gear, with a load, get those flashers going early when you see a hill coming your way. It’s fine for flat country hauling, but you would really want at least a 3.36 for most hauling. Just my opinion.

Ratings: Power: 500 HP Torque: 1850 lb-ft Base Engine Confi guration 4 cycle / Inline Six Emissions SCR Selective Catalytic Reduction Aspiration Sliding Nozzle Variable Geometry Turbocharger Full Dress Dry Weight, lb. (kg) 2605 The above informaion is from the Volvo Information sheets that we have available and it is the engine that I did order in this truck. 1750 was our torque limit a few years back, but with the changes that Volvo/Mack has made to their engines, we are able to product peak torque of 1850lbft. Volvo truck have engineers have done a beautiful job even on small details such as hidden hood latch, individual Def door, bigger mirrors etc. Even turn signal lever is made in a the way that make you enjoy using it. I drive 2020 cascadia now which is a company truck, those engineers just made truck to make money only. It too utilitarian. I put my clothes on the second floor bed, while I drive the crapcadia, everything falls down because how rough the truck is. Volvo trucks I've driver never had this problem. Also volvo turns better, brakes better, shifts better. In Volvo trucks, probability of having a accident is lower because of how easy it is to drive and break, dodge other trucks.

What is the make of front/drive axle? Volvo or Meritor? I know that Volvo do have their own drive axles. But often I see Volvo equipped with Meritor drive axles. Is Meritor M14-40 better than Volvo RTS2370?

The Front Axle is a Volvo VF14 13,200# axle, The drive axles Meritor MT-40-14XHE. We Typically stick with the Meritor Drive Axles and Housings unless the customer would ask for something different. Thank you for chekcing out the chanel. I appreciate it very much.

The factory has limited us to self adjusting clutch, but after it is used, you can put the manual adjusting clutch in! I understand the control an expirenced driver has with the manual transmission. This truck will do everything the first guy said it won't. Yeah, it probably won't go up a hill as fast as an old 'four and a quarter Cat' but it will get 8 MPG versus 4, too.

We added a PTO prep kit to the spec, because the possiblity would be there that this truck might go off road in fields or other places that could have damaged the fairings and ground effects. How much does it weigh? Can you get it below 18,200 lbs? Does it have all of the safety features like lane assist, forward collision etc? I’m looking to purchase a truck and lease it onto my company they said it has to be less than 18,200 with a quarter of a tank. I didn’t even know Mack had a 2020 Pinnacle. Nice looking truck. I want something different than what everyone else has. How does the manual automatic handle in snow and ice conditions? I’m saving this video.
