This is totally amazing! I have a MDX650 running on a 32-bit machine which the boys in IT will no longer support. I'm so pleased that HSM express exists. Can someone please advise can I export out via USB and then go into the serial with just a simple adaptor? My lovely MDX650 could live on. Can it also export to 3d shapes?

may it be possible to use this through inventor + HSM pro, i have an old MDX-20 that i would use but the Modela soft is a headache?

Hi , i just purchased a used MDX 40 and i could really use some help. All the parts i want to make need to be cut from the top and bottom faces and i don't know how to align the material (without the rotary axis) so that when i turn the piece over to mill the bottom side, after the top is done, it lines up perfectly and is not out of alignment. Can you please explain how the guy in this video gets the 2 sides to line up in as much detail as you can please? Thank you

Are you still using this scanner? I just got this same one and i can't get it to scan. I'm using a new laptop that has no parallel printer port; it only has the USB ports.. so, we hooked up a USB to Parallel cable. That may be the problem. I called Roland tech support and they recommend getting the PCMCIA Parallel adapter port. I don't know why it isn't working. Do you use a desktop PC or a laptop running the scanner? I get an error that i need to minimize pitch and stuff. i do. still no

This. Does not make undercuts o intricate cuts, neather the bottom o ineriors. Only vertical cuts , you can not curve in interiors. Good only if they are solid objects or flat.

@molinobeer it's not really a problem, it's not like they're going to make 5000 of those that way the point is to rapid prototype not be energy efficient, it's more important to be quick at that stage
