Just FYI, the amazon link is incorrect, goes to a dining set. Otherwise good video, but having (unfortunately too much) experience cutting seatbelts, they are rarely that tight, and a "pull" works better than a "push" because you only have one hand to work with. A good knife will do both (cut the belt and pop the window (press the blade tip in the lower corner, it will break just like the test piece). You are right that most folks do not keep them accessible, but will that clip hold for a car crash?
@skinners100honestreviews3
@skinners100honestreviews3 3 күн бұрын
This is a great comment with some really valid points, I appreciate that! The link has been fixed. For the seatbelt I assumed it to be in the locked position with tension ... perhaps not as tight as what we had it but at least some tension. I do like the "pull" over the "push" that makes total sense. The clip? I reckon the "sticky" would stay but being a plastic clip with a metal device I would guess the impact would jar it loose then it would hit the floorboard and roll under the seat. Better to keep it in a center console (if you have one) or glove box. Thanks again for your comment. Much appreciated, I am always looking to improve my videos and give more valid practical information.

@skinners100honestreviews3
@skinners100honestreviews3 5 күн бұрын
well, binoculars, in a sense, already zoom (or magnify) allowing you to view things at several hundred yards away. When you connect your phone to the binocular you can zoom to a certain level. Your phone has different settings and the more you zoom your camera will switch to a different lens (example: My S23 has 3 lens: 1 wide, 1 norm, 1 macro) we can zoom just fine without the binoculars but once you put the phone on the binocular your zoom is limited...once you "overzoom" it just goes black and switches to a different lens so you'll need to make that adjustment as you go. I feel like I've rambled... does it make sense?

Interesting setup! Quick question: Did you perform the speed test without the repeater connected at all, or is the repeater actively boosting the signal strength from your routers during the test? Just curious how the numbers compare in both scenarios! I would also like to note. Based on the scenario you described, it sounds like the repeater is likely boosting the signal strength from the routers. The lower signal strength (2.7) could indicate the repeater is positioned farther from the primary router or dealing with interference, which might reduce its efficiency. If the farmhouse router reads a 45 and the main router inside the home shows a 70+, the repeater might be bridging the gap to extend coverage, but not necessarily improving the speed or strength compared to being directly connected to either router. If no speed test was done without the repeater, there’s no way to confirm if the repeater is helping or hindering overall performance. Testing without the repeater would give a clearer picture of its effectiveness.

Great review, but I wished you would have run the ground coffee through your espresso machine to see how it actually performed (pulling an espresso shot). I watched another reviewer grind at various grinds and no matter which grind he chose (10, 5, 2, 0) worked properly on his Breville espresso maker, which I found odd. It came out too fast each time (he also set his "timer" for 40 sec which I'm not sure why he would do this. Also not sure how one is to determine the appropriate grind time). I'm new to the espresso world so I'm not versed in the details just yet, but he did use two different portafilter screens to see if perhaps that was his issue. Unfortunately, neither worked. So HIS conclusion was that this grinder was NOT for making the best espresso, which, honestly, I find hard to believe. Would love to know your thoughts.
@skinners100honestreviews3
@skinners100honestreviews3 8 күн бұрын
That's a great question. So, I've played around with this quite a bit before making the video and my grind settings did in fact affect my cup of espresso. I use the Caphalone espresso machine that has it's own grinder (which I have never perfected so I don't use it.) As for the Neretva I've used it daily for both espresso and pour over. For the grind setting you can tell a huge difference when grinding right into the protafilter. The only change I've ever made is the grind setting (when finding your perfect cup only change one variable until you nail it.) So I always use 20g and I started grinding at 20 and worked my way down by "5's" until I found one I was satisfied with. The setting of 20 didn't fill my portafilter because it was coarse and produced a weak espresso. when I made it to the 5-10 setting I had to stop the grinder and level out the portafilter because it overflowed ... however, I did get the full 20g in the portafilter and it made a great cup of espresso along with a good crema (something I've been trying to get for months!) As for the grind timer... I just set it so that it runs about 3-5sec after all beans have been ground and I do that just to make sure everything is out of the grinder and I don't get extra grounds in my next grind. I might also add that the finer the grind the longer it takes. I find that 20seconds is plenty of time to do 20g at a setting of 7-10 Hope this helps. Any other questions feel free to ask.

@@skinners100honestreviews3 Wow. Thanks so much for taking the time to share all of that with me. It is much appreciated and very helpful. 🙌🏼💕🙏🏼 I do know a lot of this is trial and error with finding what works, and it all depends on which grinder, what type of roast, what type of espresso machine, prepping technique/ tools used , etc. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually, lol. So if you're using 20g, you must be making a double shot, correct? As I mentioned, I'm still learning and I have written in my notes that a single shot is 7-10 grams and a double shot is 16-18 grams. Does that sound right to you? And I know these are just guidelines. I really like the esthetics of this grinder and what appears to be ease of use (and of course the price point), but again, just wanted to know if you were satisfied with its performance and what you found worked for you. I'm still not sure why this grinder didn't work for this other gentlemen (reviewer) ... I feel he must be doing something wrong (poor guy). If you feel so inclined, and have the time to watch his video (it's about a 38 min video only because he keeps trying various settings that, again, never work for him), perhaps you can shed some light on what he might be doing wrong as he can never pull an appropriate shot. I'd recommend starting at about 7:45 to skip his unboxing and such ... getting to his actually using it. Again, I can't imagine why he finds this grinder NOT appropriate for making espresso. And, again, THANK you for your time. 🙏🏼 Here's the link to his video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpfVfKKIaKaWr9k

@@danachalamet1872 I watched a couple of his grinds and cups. Not sure why it's taking him 40+ seconds to grind 16g. I do 20g in under 20 sec. But I pour all my beans in at once Second I think his tamp is too hard but I would think that would slow the flow rather than increase it. I think the main issue is his bottomless portafilter. That video is way too long and the music is way too loud. He does however, have a lot of neat tools 😀
@danachalamet1872
@danachalamet1872 8 күн бұрын
@@skinners100honestreviews3 Exactly. I thought so too (wondering why he wasn't starting the grinder WITH his coffee beans already in the hopper and then choosing 40 seconds to grind). And right, I would think if he's tamping too hard or even grinding too fine, it would be the opposite outcome (a slower extraction). That's why I'm perplexed. Also, you're so right about his music. I actually mentioned it within my comment to him, just let him know that I appreciated his efforts and thoroughness on his review, but that his music was extremely distracting. It started out okay, with his voice being more prominent, but then something happened around the 7:42 mark where his voice became more drowned out by the music. This model grinder must be pretty new since there's not a lot of "reviews" on KZbin on it, but even with that, I think I'm going to give it a try. Once again, many thanks for your time.
