One good symbol I've seen is a Fleur De Lis with the top as a pelican. And please don't use those colors, use purple, yellow, green. (Im from Louisiana)

I think for the Carolinas, the South’s flag shouldn’t be changed. Accept for updating the design of its Palmetto tree. But for the North, I think it should have a red version of the South’s flag with a flowering dogwood tree in the center since it’s the tree of its state flower and the sun or its state bird the cardinal in the corner like the moon is for South Carolina’s flag.

4:53 I have a problem with the detail part of modern flag redesigns. I feel that some are too over simplified. I think it’s okay for flags like California’s to have a detailed bear. But this is a problem that I have with all of the modern flag redesigns. But for your design I still think you did a great job.
