There are so many great authors and books! I can't name them all. I can tell you that my two favorite books of all time are The Devil In The White City and The Alienist (by Caleb Carr). Loved your video!

So excited for this! Happy Birthday to your beautiful mom! That's so awesome that you're able to just go spend a couple hours each week at the beach. That sounds lovely. The Wager does sound really good. When you showed the blanket and said "Imagine that at night." that totally cracked me up. "So many friends." You're killing me! 😂 I totally have a video on my other channel of our family playing that Speak Out game for my son's birthday. It was hilarious and we all looked hideous! Cute jar, and I love that you filled it with shells you got on the beach. Pretty frame. Good find on the book. That jumpsuit is awesome! Such a pretty dress! I have to be comfy on the couch to edit too. I much prefer following smaller channels too. I like being able to actually communicate with the people I watch. I always love seeing your family, and your dynamic with them. You can tell you all love each other a lot, and love to have fun with each other. I definitely get really tired of hearing my voice during editing. LOL Awwww, Allie, thank you so incredibly much for the shoutout!!!! That means so much to me! This was a great video, as always!

Happy birthday to your mother. 😊🎉 I read Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm in January. I'm halfway through Ruin and Rising now. Each book has gotten better for me. I love a good thrift haul! Congrats. 😅😅 I do the Google search spree for nonfiction, too!

Some of my 2024 favorites include: Pachinko, The Enchanted Hacienda, Real Americans, and How to Solve Your Own Murder. My book club read The Starless Sea. Only two of us loved it. It is the only physical book I bought that year because, like you, I feel like I could reread it every year and get more out of it.

I also love to read and thrillers and fantasy young adults are just a couple of the genres I enjoy to read, I don’t have storage space so lots of my books are ebooks, I prefer real books, but it is what it is. Looking forward to hearing what you're looking forward to reading this year as far as new releases! I definitely get most of my books from thrift stores, but I love your tip about keeping an eye out on Book Outlet, because a lot of new releases end up there after a few months. I will definitely be keeping that in mind. Ooooohhh, Beautiful Ugly sounds so good! With A Vengeance sounds awesome. An isolated thriller like that is always extra interesting! Ok, Don't Let Him In is exactly the kind of book I love to read. Sounds like there are a lot of great books coming out...and this is only through June!

I really enjoy the Emily Wilde series. It has a historical setting so I think you will appreciate that! Oh and it’s no smut at all. The romance is very secondary and sweet.

Many on your list are also on my list to read. I just finished The Stolen Queen - I was actually able to get a used copy on Thriftbooks. I really enjoyed it a great change of pace as far as historical fiction goes!

This is such a cute idea! I love Ryan's reasons for picking the books he did for you. He was cracking me up. When you said "It's called, get an epipen." I literally giggled out loud! It's so easy to see how much you guys love each other. I love seeing that. Looks like he did a pretty good job picking books out for you, since so many are ones you would have picked for yourself! How cool that there is a book festival near you. I don't live near anything cool like that. LOL This was a fun video!
