Good tutorial. At the very end if you get your signal from the right channel of the Yamaha mixer & send it to the other speaker, you'd get stereo unless you purposely wanted mono therefore you got your signal from the closer speaker. I have the same mixer & it is excellent.

Thanks so much for the love. I have never used a lapel mic for ceremonies and never plan on it. Lapel mics are very sensitive to wind and feedback so I just don’t take the chance. I would stick with sennheiser though in my opinion as they are built to last and very reliable! Be well!

I got these for my guitar pedalboard that I travel with. This video definitely helped with setting these up easily. I still seem to get dropouts randomly but I’m thinking it’s due to the receiver being on the ground on a pedalboard instead of being elevated at least to the height of my waist. I’m guessing that due to line of sight being 300m and the antenna not being a larger one like my racked Shure SLX-D which I’ve never had any issues with ever and have played some bigger shows with. Their specs are roughly the same and on the same band (H55) so I’m guessing the issue is due to receiver being on the pedalboard instead of elevated but I have no idea. It works perfectly in rehearsal/soundcheck.

@safedangerband.... you want to make sure the antennas of the body pack are oriented the same direction as well. If they are not, it reduces the signal between the units. Line of sight is important as you stated as well.

this is NOT the intended use for wireless IEM systems. 1. The belt packs are not outputting 20hz-20khz for starters. 2. The signal coming out of the belt pack is a high impedance amplified headphone signal, NOT line or mic level. This will over time cause damage to your PA. 3. The belt packs have phase response that is not suitable for the use that your are demonstrating. 4. There is a latency time that applies to wireless. 5. interruptions to the to the RF band your on can and will occur, and have potential to stop your show and in rare cases, to kill your PA. Basically everything about this is wrong. and anyone wishing to replicated this is doing so at their own risk, or potentially risking someone else's gear. and finally, if you use a better mixer with better Dad's on the input and outputs, and which are using less noisy, more sensitive and responsive components, the audio coming out of your belt pack will be several orders of magnitude better.

Thanks for your thoughts Mike. Can you publish a video on the correct way to get audio wirelessly from one speaker to another? Have a good one.
@michaelhicks8603 Жыл бұрын
@@discoverdevlin2289 those were not fighting words. Just education, so that you can get the best quality audio possible with your setup. The correct way is to use high bandwidth point to point microwave links. These are polarised p2p links with line of sight range good for a few klm. With your mobile setup, I’m actually confused as to why you would even need wireless, since the PA system you are using already requires power cables, it is already technically not a wireless system. Using iem system as a p2p wireless link is similar to using a walk-in-talkie instead of a wireless mic. It might be A solution, but it is by a wide margin the least best solution possible.
