It’s really strange to hear pastors at one church after another claim that local churches need to be hospitals for the sick (code for unrepentant). Jesus didn’t come as a hospital administrator to appoint doctors to heal the sick or community activists to serve the poor. He came as a rabbi who appointed disciples to make more students and teach them God’s Word. I suppose if pastors treated the local church as a place of learning they would be hated so much that 80% of their membership would leave because the world has made the “gospel” about serving it.

When you abide in the branch you bear fruit. If you are lost and dont know where you are meant to be, look for the fruit of the spirit in your life. When you bear fruit you know that you are where He wants you to be.

He originally was running away from the call when he was thrown in the ocean after he was saved from drowning (by the big fish, most of the time depicted as a whale, swallowing him) then he decided to answer the call from god

Agreed. Saying a prayer is just the opening of the door. That’s why the role of the local church is so vital. For people to get planted, find community, grow in Christ. We certainly can’t do it alone.

Finding a church that preaches about the blood and cross and salvation. And the propitiation of the cross. Many churches preach what the people want to hear not what they should hear. Mostly all preachers are turning into prosperity preachers. Prosperity preachers will face the greater damnation. Because all they care is about the mighty dollar they don't care about souls. This is why many churches are closing. Real Holy ghost fire believeing preachers are is what we need more of.

What do you mean have came to Christ do you mean saying the sinners prayer and believe they have a mention in heaven. Accepting Christ is just the beginning after that comes picked up your cross and following him witnessing to the homeless alcoholics drugattics and anyone the holy spirit leads you to. You are to give our Lord Jesus Christ every thing. Jesus Christ said they persurcuted me they will persurcute you to . Many so called Christians and prosperity preachers will accept the mark of the beast. Because they never believed in our savior they were were wolves dressed in sheeps clothing.

Absolutely. That’s why it is so important for people to get plugged into a local church. Where they can find friendships, accountability, and grow. And… That’s why most evangelism around the world is happening through local churches. Hope you’re involved in a good one.
