Well actually, he sung it in 1956. Also, he didn’t steal the exact song. Once you look into it, you’ll find that while Elvis’s version has “hound dog” sung in it as well, it’s more based off Freddie Bell and the Bellboys version. Also, Mike Stoller, a songwriter, wrote Hound Dog for Big Mama Thornton, and he also wrote for Elvis too. (Not tryna lean majorly on one side, although I’m an Elvis fangirl)

One more thing, the version by Doja Cat is called Vegas, all the other versions are called Hound Dog.
