I always thought that the giants look exceptionally good for it to be CGI. Turns out I was right. They're actors on green screen, composited to appear large. Gotta love practical effects and compositions.

I'm starting to wonder if Stanley was on the autism spectrum. From his hyper fixations to detail, perfectionism with takes, collecting photographs and memorabilia, selective eating requirements and his withdrawn, reclusive nature.
