Yeah, while Pacey has some cool moments and JJ plays that character well, his character has some very very rough behavior due to jealousy and just immorality. I don’t think I bought Joey and Pacey’s chemistry as a couple but I did buy them not liking each other. With Dawson, I’m not sure he had great romantic chemistry with Joey either. I’d have to rewatch. Dawson really doesn’t come off as a suave character, so it is sorta awkward to see him in relationships. I think Pacey and Andy had really great chemistry and that should’ve been endgame.

Making Pacey and Joey a couple was dumb. They also made Jack gay for no real good reason outside of they just wanted to add a gay character.

I totally disagree with your views on Agent "Cinnamon Carter"; &, w/: your views, about her character's opinions, on: psychics, having been revealed in this episode. In case, you are not aware, it was a strict requirement of the original producer: Bruce Geller, that the actors show no personal emotions & feelings throughout the series. Both Peter Graves; &, Barbara Bain got chided on those aspects of their acting in certain episodes. The total restraint on displays of emotions; &, opinions, by the series' actors, was, in fact; one of the big reasons, that actor Leonard Nimoy, left this show. Many of these non-standard elements to the traditional show format were done, because of the many intense pressures that the producers of this show, were under at the time. That meant, that they had to experiment with their characters. Therefore, actress Barbara Bain; wanted to experiment w/: her own role; stretching it; &, potentially, expanding it, later on, in the series; especially, since, the role of actor Steven Hill/"Dan Briggs", was becoming far less essential, to the show. In any case, I really loved its' more avant garde nature; &, therefore, disagree w/: your views, on this ep; completely.

I hugely -->>love that episode. It is, very possibly, my #1 favorite. By the way, I have seen every single episode made, from the first version of the whole series. George's last name is Japanese; &, it is pronounced: TAA-KA-I-(E). No, he is NOT "Sulu"; but, yes; he is actor: George Takei. Yes, the town in that episode/ep, was supposed to be: a, Russian, "American Small Town recreation"; no, it was not: American Pie; nor, was it Americana. It was, in fact, a Paramount/Universal Back Lot, Set; &, its' accompanying studios. The disease alluded to, was NOT bubonic; &, was NOT Ebola. It was: called, inaccurately: Septicimea; which is in actuality: a form of blood infection-poisioning; that the script called: a form of plague. Please NOTE: Your changing your own "facts", mid-video; confuses people. I agree that the Russians would've had their own parcel of land on American soil. I also agree that the undercover, political-Secret Agent/saboteurs, removing their "Star-Symbol", lapel-buttons would've been a far more effective test training of the new agent recruits. I do NOT agree that the "Rollin Hand" character should've used another Mask Trick. Overusing script devices renders them boring from overuse; &, over familiarity. Simplicity; &, Sparseness were always used well in the original "M-I" TV Series. One perfect example is that the first version of the series beautifully, let silence do much of the talking; unlike more contemporary scripts, where every "story" written, has non-stop, ANNOYING: loud shouting; all during an entire show. The original "M-I" Television Series, used: silences; some drama; pausing; simplicity; sparcities; improvizations; formality; color; camera blockings; lighting; shot framings; pacings; facial expressions; music, score; plot; costuming; rhythm; volume; &, spontaneity; Etc.; to make a powerful; and; fun to watch show, whether the character: "Rollin Hand"; played by actor: Martin Landau, in this ep; took off another mask; or, he did not. No, Peter Graves was NOT set up; &, ready to go, at the time of this script. Landau's much more central position in this script was due to the producers still trying to accomodate actor: Steven Hill's reluctance to fully accept all his show duties; as his character: "Dan Briggs"; &, instead his having prioritized his religious beliefs. I am super glad that we get to see here; the product of a hard-working team; and, its' writing; &, its' overall creation, that has, in my opinions, added a Masterpiece level sort of quality, w/: a type of art-feeling to this ep, as a nice addition, to the whole set of series' episodes/ep-s. If you do seriously want to aquaint yourself, with more familiarity, to the facts, around this particular series; and, its' individual shows, such as: this exact episode; then, you can buy a fantastic book on the whole series; entitled: "The Mission Impossible Dossier"; by author Patrick White; who is a fine fellow; which I can attest to; as I've known him; personally.

Watching this episode right now on legend TV in the United Kingdom, it's fascinating, to see actors l have seen before who would star in a few Clint Eastwood films , what I like is the storyline and picture quality and how stylish everyone looks and the 60s stylish suit and dress and hair styles. Barbara Bain is such a great actress in these series, she just lights up every episode she is in

I completely agree with you the music featured in Buffy is simply iconic. I've said, on multiple occasions that I like the music featured in the show more than its traditional score. There's one exception to that rule, though the theme song.

As a small town person from Canada, there were definitely no security guards or anyone else in our town's cemeteries any time of the day that I went lol... can't say about American cemeteries though. There were cemetery grounds people in a bigger city that I lived in, but I never saw anyone in the small town cemeteries.

@Balloonhead Productions Hello sir, I am trying to find out the name of the song that plays during a practice scene, early in the episode. I believe it is a street organ playing, and a fairly old song. I've been searching for years, any ideas would be appreciated!

I don't have any idea, except putting it up to the TV while the song plays and doing a Shazam that usually works ironically enough for me. It was the most annoying part of this episode. I couldn't stand that song. Putting that aside. Thanks for stopping by to check out my video.

This particular story was reworked when they had a writer’s strike. This led to a new Mission Impossible series filmed in Australia. This updated version holds up very nicely and pays tribute to the original but has more technological enchantments.

@@BalloonHeadProductions Briggs had his pluses and minuses. A bit vengeful and prone to personal violence (Phelps and his team never personally killed someone with a gun or anything else, they were too smart for that), his planning was less tighter than Phelps' but hey, he always got the job done.

This episode was kind of hard for me to wrap my head around because I'm not a gambler and I had to watch the episode several times to sort of get how the games work. I did appreciate that. The writer of this episode didn't expect the audience to know the rules of gambling and how every game works and then he took the time to show us how the games work that they're going to display in the episode I found it really helpful.

@@BalloonHeadProductions all movie and tv secret agents played baccarat aka chemin de fer in the 1960s b/c it looks cool and glamorous in a casino setting and no one really cared how it was played anyway, only that the hero spy always won over the villain spy. In reality, the game is very simple and pretty boring, which is why baccarat was switched to poker in Daniel Craig's version of Casino Royale. Like you, I like how M:I took the time to explain the game to its audience, something the Bond films never did, which was revealing even to me when I watched this episode again a few years back, even though I had been watching this show since it premiered back in 1966. 😀
