It's crazy how we thought this was futuristic and the pioneering era of Dubstep is something I will always be grateful for. I tattooed DROP THE BASS on my left index finger, which has it going down the outer side, and I put BASS HEAD above my right knee. I have been into EDM since I first heard techno in the very early '90s. My favorite song ever is "Techno Syndrome" by The Immortals and it's the theme to the 1995 MK movie.

I don't know this channel also uploaded OG dubstep producer from the UK. However the most views were from harder tearout and proto-brostep from Datsik

This is such an interesting mix because you can tell Excision so desperately wants to dig into the harder, more aggressive sounds he'd so famously produce later on, but what we have here is about as dark and hard as it got in 2006. Distance and Vex'd were the precursors to those crunchy, harder sounds that would make up the distinct Excision sound.
