Great review! It says on the website the frame is 6061 aluminum alloy, are you sure yours is steel?
@WillReviewsItКүн бұрын
Thanks! It's magnetic, I assume that means steel lol

I don't like those tires, if I don't like to buy it, I like the Super 73 RX more and it has more accessories, I'm sure you had a lot of fun cleaning your bike, the place is excellent. 🫶

Great video man, seems engwe really improved what we been asking for. Really looking forward to it when it comes in Europe. Does it still have a usb port on the battery?

Velotric Customer Service does not recommend that mods or changes be made to the Summit 1 bike. They will not advise as to any changes and will void their warranty if the customer makes any mods or changes . Velotric Customer service takes forever to resolve even the smallest warranty claims and ships parts by the slowest methods possible. I would not buy products made by Velotric. The bike is not dropper-post ready.

Just got mine yesterday 8/17 and is a real nice bike. I'm 71 so I'm not going on trails but desert and forest dirt roads. Still learning controls but it is fun I live in the desert only 2 paved roads an 50 sand ones and minimal traffic so its a relative safe area to ride.
@tomolryifyАй бұрын
Many owners of the Summit, including me, are experiencing low power output on steeper hills (e.g. 10 degrees or more) while in pedal assist - the throttle has plenty of power. Velotric has said this will be addressed a future firmware update, but that was over a month ago. I would think twice if hills are a big part of your riding. Yourtube search "Velotric Summit 1 Problems" for my experience.

nice. Ive a couple ebike reviews on my channel also I like the step thru best, my others a step over. both are 750 watt hub drives [I save these for "legal" rides My search for a logging road a few trails [within reason] have led me to AWD hub drives to a Mid drive! the steeper grades are about 1 to 2 miles, so a hub drive might over heat (?) a mid drive might be slower, But Im looking for a hill climber and really I ride top speed {maybe} 15mph I prefer gravel/dirt roads n less traveled trails, so If I go from 4 to 10mph Im feeling fine with that. {we wont worry about the down hill :O } what are your thoughts abo0ut a AWD hubs vs a mid drive? I can add a hub motor on the fron "IF" needed (?) [that Front drive will also solve as Id prefer the front hub to be a separate system] enjoy your Video sharing - thank you

I've had this bike about a week now and I want to put slime in the tires but the presta valve I don't think unscrews out all the way, how did you get the sealant in?
@sd54583 ай бұрын
I have 126 miles on mine, i believe I posted to your Facebook group, I've been riding pretty hard, and I have stress cracks in the built in rear tail lights. The bike definitely has its limitations, but I'm gonna keep thrashing it. Only other downside i have found is some chips on the frame (lower swingarm) and the motor overrun issue that I've been experiencing in some situations. I hope it can be fixed with a firmware update but it might be a 1.0 issue with the motor 😮

It's now $3k+ with the new tariffs and tax. I would look to go for a full suspension mid-drive at that price point. Especially, since this a first generation motor for Aventon.
@coldcasewatchesccw71582 ай бұрын
Which models can you get in that price range that have dual suspension and mid drive?
@lorilatta39963 ай бұрын
You actually can make this bike tubeless. You just use tape, and you can get sales on tubeless tires. You will get less flats if you use tubeless.
@sd54583 ай бұрын
While true you can convert almost any wheel to tubeless. It's not true that tubeless is the best for everyone. It depends entirely on the terrain, the riding style, and if you want to deal with all the sealant and that garbage. Also the bike barely accommodates 2.6" width tires. Tubeless at 2.5" is probably ideal but I'm with OP for now tubes are cheaper and lighter

Hey Will, I noticed you said you removed your bottle cage bc it looks better without it! Give a look into the Fidlock twist bottle system. Without the bottle, you still have a nice clean look, but you always have the option to carry a water bottle! Also when you mention the saddle bending be aware of the MAX line indicated at 4:28 looks like you are about 10mm past it! You want to keep your clamp in between those lines. You'll stop bending saddle rails. WTB makes E-Bike specific saddle WTB Volt, Ergon also makes great supportive comfortable saddles! I've been on a HardTail for the last 4 years when it gets rough get off the saddle a bit and bend your knees, you ARE the rear suspension! Maxxis Rekons are tubeless ready get those tubes out of there! Especially on a HT ! You will get far superior ride quality just by going tubeless. You can 100% do this by yourself its super easy even with just a floor pump. Id recommend starting 3 spokes before the valve hole doing 2 wraps and ending 3 spokes after. I at least hope you try this, It will transform the bike, lower tire pressure = more suspension. Good video Idea too 😉 rim tape - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C7VVLYHK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 sealant - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FGKWJ2R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Cool video rad bike😎✌ #HardTailsonHardTrails
