I have an older valve box that was installed like this. Even though the pipe holes aren't that big, they allowed lots of dirt to enter over time and now all of the rocks inside my valve box are a dirt/rock mixture. This makes it very difficult when it is time to replace a valve.

@@ISEontheweb sono un giardiniere...vorrei capire se esistono impianti simili per tappeti erbosi in sostituzione dei classici irrigatori..só che esistono con impianto a goccia ma poi c'è sempre il problema del calcare e lo sporco.. Un saluto grazie

@@lego463 sì, esistono impianti simili che sono molto validi per irrigare tappeti erbosi. In questo ambito si preferisce usare ali gocciolanti con spessore di parete più pesante: è chiaramente necessario un sistema di filtrazione per evitare le impurità intasino i gocciolatori e altri accorgimenti idonei allo scopo. grazie

Buongiorno, esistono delle macchine per poter "estrarre" e raccogliere la manichetta anche quando installata in SDI. Un'azienda che le produce è la Andros Engineering ad esempio.

un impianto in sub-irrigazione può restare in funzione per diverse stagioni, abbiamo esperianza di impianti che sono stati installati ad inizio 2000 e sono oggi ancora in uso. Esistono delle macchine per l'estrazione della manichetta, ad esempio quelle di Andros Engineering

Viene miscelata all’acqua e serve per arieggiare le radici e per un maggiore sviluppo della microflora del terreno

Thanks for your feedback. All the 4-sides of the valve box has predefined cutting areas where the wall is thinnest and cutting can be very precise and easy. The strudy support angles give anyhow high resistance to loads.

As a 15 year sprinkler business owner it is absolutely idiotic to install with small gravel. Why? When you repair a valve that has some water left in the line where do you think those little rocks go when you have the valves disassembled? Yep right into the pipe. HD weed mat works just fine and keeps the ground rodents out as well. Clean as can be!

Hello, thanks for your comment. HD weed mat is a good option too, but the main reason for having gravel over weed mat is that this option increases drainage. Furthermore, using big gravel can prevent pipe occlusion. Thanks!

I'm used it under plastic mulch and now find about half the nozzles are blocked. Is there a standard unblocking procedure? Compressed Air?

dont use in Plastic Mulch. Use toro drip tape
