I don’t like g10 because you look at it and get ugly white marks just like the crap plastic in a car. Can’t wait till my manix 2 xl crucarta arrives. Micarta is better than G10

I like the look of the Diamond wood better then the Ebony wood I have now. I know the Ebony is the original scale material, but I grew up seeing the Diamond wood. In my mind, that’s how a 110 is supposed to look.

The xl is awkward to close because of the rounded bottom. Better balance tho. Regular is butt heavy but easier to manipulate. I’d say regular. Better blade shape too imo

For aesthetics, I wish they'd go back to the natural grained wood like on this one rather than the crelicam ebony they use now, which just looks solid black, even though they use castoff bits from Taylor Guitars, which has an environmentally sustainable ebony sawmill project in Cameroon, which is cool.
@escapetherace1943 Жыл бұрын
wood is environmentally sustainable. 1 tree = thousands of knife scales. Growing trees draws carbon out of the air. Nothing is environmentally bad about chopping down trees, but we do too much of it for paper products

How solid is it with the blade deployed? Is there any side to side or up and down movement to the blade?
@erickeating5709 Жыл бұрын
It’s pretty solid but you have to be sure to squeeze it tightly, otherwise there will be a slight wiggle.

One of my favorite knives. I made CF scales for mine to turn it from an uncomfortable, paper thin frame lock to a beefy, hand filling liner lock. I've owned close to a dozen of them, and yours looks to have the earliest lockup I've seen. Most were basically 100% out of the box. That worried a ton of people, but I'd bet I have the most experience on the planet at actually _using_ K2s, and I've never had any issues with the lock. Even the (sometimes brutal) lock stick almost always goes away. Probably my favorite actual lock face geometry, something that has become a lost art with the advent of steel lockbar inserts. Just found your channel while watching Manix 2 XL videos since I just bought the SNK 4v version. Subbed.
