Does anyone know where I could get a bobbin case for this machine?

Is there a way to date one by the serial number? I picked one up, but can't fined a registry for Modernage.

could their be a reason when fully up why my bobbin wheel doesn't touch the hand wheel? I can't see any reason why it's not making contact.

I had this machine, purchased in 1974. I used it for many years but always had a lot of problems with it. When I purchased my brother sewing machine, I donated my singer to Goodwill and never missed it. I hope the person who purchased it had better luck with it. I learned to sew on an old singer treadle that belonged to my great grandmother when I was 14 years. I loved it and never had a problem with it. I now own that old sewing machine and treasure it.

I put a small drop of oil in the wick of mine and now it makes a chaffing sound. The bobbin case and race are clean, when I removed the bobbin case it doesn't make the noise when I put the case back in it makes the noise. I also bought a new bobbin case thought it might be that.

I am not sure if you can assist me .. I am looking to see a close up pic of the thread cutter section just behind the bobbin area... the small shiny screw u can see in your video, it holds three small plate parts for the cutter section... i want to know what order they go in there in. Mine it not cutting now after cleaning and I am thinking maybe they went in wrong ?? ty
