Hello - great video, thank you! It mostly worked for me except my data never moves to Column 2 or 3. Everything is just one long Column 1. Any ideas?

I might be late to answer you but what I did was: in Word, go to tab Layout, click on Columns button, and choose the number of column you need, it will expand.

Great vídeo, very organized, as a newbie, tha is one of the Best i have seen. One question, i'm gueesing that when You save the book, it saves the language name (the actual string), And not the language ID. How do we save the language ID in the book table instead of saving the name string. Thanks

Great video, that really simplifies the concept! :D But, how would you go around to filter a gallery, to only shows records, that has related (child) records. I.e. only show 'parent records' that has related 'child records' - where the relationship is: parent 1 : m child. Or like in your scenario, only show Authors that has related Books. So if you had an Author that's not related to any Books, that Author would not be shown in the Author gallery.

Thank you - it's very helpful to actually see the creation of a CDS solution! I didn't see the diagram creator in the notes but I searched and found the same free designer program (draw.io). It seems like an obvious step but one that's overlooked (i.e. Assemble your thoughts/info and put them down 'paper', outline!!). It's a great reference to double check your own work & gives you the ability to show others the outline(s) of data relationships too.

Great video! A noob question: Why should I use always solutions? I understand that if I want to move the logic from one environment to another at some point it is important to use a solution. But if I am building an app for a company in their environment already do I really need to use a solution? Also are entities only usable in one solution or can other apps also see/use those?
@reloffice97454 жыл бұрын
I'd have this same question(s?) - I'm curious about exactly what the difference are when you create you entities from different spots...is this just another MS thing for doing the same thing from different spots or does it open/close different options when created in different locations and what are those differences?

I have a mistake for query of address from Latitude and longitude "Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'Expression in partition 'n/a' in table 'n/a' references an unknown entity." which does not allow to save query in Power BI though I changed missing data by text. is there workaround for this error? (preview in PBI query looks OK, i just look for regions of solar eclipses and some of them are in the ocean part and address cannot be found)

Hi Keith, i hope you're well. Great video. A few things have cleared in my head now. Just one question. Would you rather create a new entity and use 1:N, N:1 relationship or just go with N:N?
@powerappster76414 жыл бұрын
Both, basically its governed by your use case, you have to obey the data model... but, if Power Apps and making the app "Needs" the intersect (bridging) entity then you do it that way.

@powerappster76414 жыл бұрын
When you say create a trigger, you mean in terms of one of the triggers for Power Apps such is "When a X is X". I can try and find out. Since making this video they made all of the standard connectors open source so that should be on GIT hub, but I'll ask.

Hi mate, I'm new to Flow and trying to get your method to work using an MS Excel online sheet. I've managed to set everything else up the same way as your Flow, but it keeps stalling at the "List rows present in a table" Excel Online step.... what am I doing wrong? The Excel table is around 6000 rows, which isn't large by Excel standards but perhaps it's too large for this operation?
