Most of products ive got from ballards has been great. But really crapped the bed with this. Mine constantly jamming , if you use other then round line it starts cutting in the spool, then after filling even without bumper depressed will keep feeding out line. I started using it this season and be better off with a standard head. Much more reliable

I like the Ballard blades but didn’t care for those at all 💯. It was a one and done purchase on the gold.

Mine makes all the grass shoot out the front of my mower and all over me especially in dry conditions and it leaves lines of grass clippings in the yard so I have to keep mowimg over those. It does stop rocks from shooting through fences however

I ran a set of ripper blades on my encore years ago for spring and fall mulching. Worked excellent. Very durable too. During the summer i added a second ripper to make an X blade and that eliminated stragglers on lush taller summer grass while still mulching great. Just was mindful to engage the blades more gently with all the extra weight.

Are these beneficial on hills? Some I go after are 45 degrees or greater. I rarely get anything flat and smooth.

Every yard company needs these so they don’t blow grass on cars at business it pisses people off when they do that.

My blade came butter knife sharp from the factory and it didn't cut for shit.

What blades do you recommend for a 54” Bad Boy Maverick for the “Striping” aspect of it??? Thank You in advance.

You never mention Cub commercial zero mowers. How do this fit a Cub ProZ500 with a spline washer that locks in the blade and nut? Is the spline long enough to fit the x blade adapter?

Installed the X Blade adapters and Ripper blades along with my stock blades on my Ariens Ikon 52 yesterday. Took it out and mowed pretty damp grass after it had rained and the yard looked great when I was done. My deck slightly clumps on the right rear because I closed off the discharge hole with a plate I made to turn the mower into a mulcher, but just lifted the deck all the way up and just quickly went over those spots and the lift force created by this system picked up the wet grass and spread it out, could not tell it had even clumped. Very pleased.

You're absolutely right I use my surface washer upside down have for years to clean under my deck works great it's cheap and if you tear it up you can buy 10 more for the same price

Can you run the double blade system on a Gravely ZTHD 52”zero turn that takes 3 blades? I currently run Gator blades and looking to switch.
