from personal experience m10 with randoms. when the forge just came out i just crafted things with 2 perks - Human Ward and Flame Conditioning. in a few days with my healer friend and random 3хDD - closed m1..m10. more is not needed for this game. there is no ladder for pve like in wow. there are no mutations+ to pass m20 etc. this is why famous streamers and speedrunners left. this game is not challenging.

This build works well in M3's. Not sure how well it well it would do for speed runs however as I generally don't do speed runs.

Controller Remapping.> USE IT! It tricks the game into thinking you are using a controller. Giving you more accuracy and better aim lock hit boxes You "WILL" hit 90% of your aim shots. These so called "Pros", use this shiet all the time. reWASD, spread the word fellas! so AGS fixes this shiet

I think that you might be wrong about the Powerstone, the main passiv with the attacks applying weakening is only effective when flail is out, not on both weapons. And about the Ads phase on 2nd boss, no need heal on tank just kite back the boss and the 2 heals can focus on healing Dps

I just tested it again and the weakness from the flail is working on the secondary weapon for me. On the ads phase, yeah kiting it is also an option.

i think kite shields in general are very underrated atm. Ofc when your main focus is to block many attacks for a long time tower shields is the best. What i don´t like about them is that you are way to defensive when blocking for a long period of time and you don´t win fights out of this position and wait until beaten to death. Kite shield is a good middle ground and you can block key abilities or block some attacks too, it´s not as bad as people say. +5% cdr is also good, gives offensive and defensive power depending on the abilities used. 2:35 in the video is a good example, look how many attacks you can block with it! thats more then enough.

Yeah they are definitely more niche as you normally go round for offence or tower for defence, but as you said, its a nice middle ground, and nice to unlock some of the kite shield passives on the skill trees.

great video! Could also do roughly the same thing with spear instead of flail. Honestly, i think spear is more of the "meta" option. If you are gonna go kite shield I highly highly recommend Immutable Resolve. It comes with an illegal perk combo of thrust AND slash shield ward. Doing that will free up your artifact slot and you can take void darkplate.

Thanks! Yeah I remember trying to farm Immutable Resolve before and never got it in the end. I like Michael whilst there are so many dots around (plus gives me a reason to use Michael), but if people stop playing dots so much, immutable resolve is a great choice.

Nice video - I’ll have to pull out Michael. I prefer plagued crits on the flail, but it’s a matter of personal preference. I might also try Odo with the shield stun to see how that works.

Lol I love how when it's used against me the dots are ticking for 300-400+ dmg but when I use it mine a ticking for 15-30dmg lol

Nope, it does drop from Gen but can go up to 700 :)

I keep meaning to make an updated version of this build. Most of it would be the same just with some updated gear. You don't really light attack with the GA, you just use the skills then switch back to spear.

Heavy helm and chest give you the most resistances? For medium equip load.

I think heavy chest with everything else in medium gives slightly more armor. I just did my set up that way based on the gear I already had so didn't have to craft anything.

Burnanator is bugged, or over tuned. Either way when you see everyone swapping from a blunderbuss to a burnanator... I mean don't people like to PLAY games anymore? Half these opr's are kids using the over tuned garbage and acting like they are doing anything. Blunderbuss and burnanators need to go #MakeNwGreatAgain

Can I ask why you didn’t use Elemental Band? I’m running a similar build but have elemental band artifact ring for the 15% elemental damage bonus but is burning better?

I think to make elemental band work on this build we would have to change too much as currently we would only get 8% from ice and fire as that's the only 2 elements we are using.

@@amenguit355 I don't run burning on my build, but my ring of choice for a fire staff build is normally hearty, fire damage, X, where X could be leeching, burning, mortal empowerment, invig punishment, healing breeze. Elemental Band can work too, but I think you have to build into it and play with it in mind, so just the flat fire damage buff can be better.

Just tested it... backdraft does not remove burnanator perk burn. However, it seems the staff is bugged and does NOT apply the 15%burn stack with heavy attacks

@@positivelysomewhere Yeah I just did some testing too, I think there might be a bug with flare. Without flare heavy attacks do apply burn and smoulder, with flare it just applies the smoulder from the passive. So I think flare might be bugged for the unique perk.

@ @ You can look at the empower bonuses you get from the skill tree + gear + consumables (honing stone). There's no easy way to quickly check though. It only really matters if you are super min maxing though, plus sometimes its fine to go over 50% as if you get weakened it gets taken way from the empower. If you still learning the game, I wouldn't worry too much about it though :)

Vigor does very little for dots btw, because It reduces the base duraiton and not the whole duration.

Sorry but your build is not good.. never use FLARE in any FS build. So on Top of the DMG you losing on Heavys you would lose another good amout by using Flare!!

I just did some testing and I think flare might be bugged with the new fire staff as its not applying the burn from the unique perk so flare might not be worth using right now, although it still applies the smoulder in an aoe so there is still some benefit to it in the first build as its designed to fight clumps. If it was working correctly however, flare is amazing when attacking groups of enemies.

why not using winged leather shoes? it gives 10% more base damage while hasted, and with FS specially with flamethrower you will have perma haste, plus 15% base damage increase for being in light.

I have been waiting for this video! Burnanator is crazy - and I already use your build from the Medium Mage FS/IG video. Was a grind but I have it almost exact at this point - top 5 in OPR every time, and top 5 in Wars as well. I make a few small changes for Races and Arena, but this build is still good for that. I had switched out Fwoosh a while back with the Hoplite FS too. Need to get this Hoplite IG next! Random question: Burnanator has been suggested for Gorgon... I have been using a light build for that with lots of fire harnessing, etc. Do you think Burnanator could work in Gorgon withOUT the flamethrower, and just go with Fireball, Pillar of Fire, and Meteor shower? Thanks again!

Glad you've been liking the medium mage build and have been doing good with it! :) Yeah Burnanator is crazy good For gorgon, yeah I think Burnanator could work using just the aoe skills, but you'd have to make sure only 1 person in the raid is using it, as I think you would overwrite each others burn stacks otherwise.

Yeah this build is still viable :) You could try medium, you'd just have to lose the tower shield and would be less tanky, but more damage. I think when testing I preferred it in heavy though as sometimes you just get melted in medium.

Overall good tips for tanks👍 I would just say that with second boss do your best to tank close to the pilar that way when he marks anyone from the team we already stand close to the pilar and you can get behind much quicker and when one gets destroyed move to the next one, I find more team effective that way
