Maybe it’s accurate to the original game, but I don’t love the fact that Omega stops dead in his tracks with every shot.

I agree, he should be able to move on the ground while shooting, it would make him feel more like how E-102 Gamma was in SA1. And they should make the stop mid-air thingy when shooting optional somehow, my idea is that when you hold the jump button he glides making him stop mid-air while shooting the lock-on missiles, if you don't then he just falls normally as he shoots the lock-on missiles

This was my favorite game as a kid I remember being about 5 or 6 playing this not knowing what I was doing but having so much fun
