One of my first jobs was working with tile setters for the Navy. Believe it or not they were still installing Terrazzo floors in Navy ship's galleys and such spaces. Mixing by hand was tough work. But when it was all done they were beautiful floors.

Great video! What type of grout are you using when you are doing the trowel hole fill (step 4). Are you using normal sanded grout, un-sanded grout or epoxy grout?

Man if I could give this a thousand thumbs up I would! This was an incredible result. You made that floor look like water! Omg it’s amazing! I just got my first 175 and trying to learn about restoring marble, terrazzo, and other natural stones. I wish I could join you guys on a job so I can learn the whole process. I’m preparing to do my first marble job soon, so videos like these are inspirational and educational!

Its great work, i have a question. If you have epoxy resin grout/compound is it possible to grind it to open up the surface and colour/stain the grouting and polish the surface after?

my floor looks like this but not as bad . how much would a 300 square ft. kitchen-dining cost??

I don't know why this old floor video isn't more popular. I love the old ones! I think the problem is at the very beginning, the sound is muffled and the sunglasses make it hard to connect with you.
@saltwaterpurl3 ай бұрын
I want to thank you sincerely for what you shared. I am a long way from you just doing a kitchen, and this is very beneficial to me. I wish they would have paid you to do a deeper coarse polish at the start for this church... but then again perhaps it is better to not take off too much material so the floor will last the longest possible. It's fantastic either way. The city hall in my city has marble stairs, and they are getting worn. As i walk up those steps, I think of how many millions of footsteps people have laid on those steps in order to get a marraige license, pay tax, register a car, and more. So even though you can see some wear left by the prior floor contractor, I like that the floors are talking and telling their story to us!

What is the sealer you used? Is that sealer only recommended for epoxy, or can it also be used for cementious terazzo? Not only was this amazing work, but it was a great video! I am really impressed!

Certainly, I understand. You are correct, the answer does not directly address the question. Although we are based in the Chicago area, we do occasionally travel for significant projects. I apologize for any confusion caused by my assumption that you were aware of our location and willingness to travel for work.
