A sad decline from the high priest of funk to incompetent terrorist. Bootsy - you should have stuck with being the bassist in Parliament and avoided all this Irish nonsense.
@TheFenianTroop11 жыл бұрын
Johnny Adair entered the shop shortly before the bomb, it was a military target to kills senior UDA men meant to meet in the floor above though the bomb went off premature. This bomb was a sad atrocity that shouldn't have happened but to anyone who uses this as an excuse to incite their hatred claiming it was a sectarian bombing to kill innocent Protestants bear in mind that loyalist paramilitaries killed 717 innocent people in sectarian attacks (of those 63 were Protestant)

When I watch this all you can do is cry I like many others shopped in the fish shop I could of been one of those who died.just goes to show you ,you take nothin to do with the conflict look what happens to you it comes to you anyway innocent people I mean.this was a disaster for the provos as many Protestants joined the paramilitarys I suppose better to die fighting they thought.
@Squendal13 жыл бұрын
Damn. All these comments on KZbin are always annoying. Both sides killed children, both sides killed pregnant women, both sides killed old men and women, both killed innocent civilians. Both paramilitary groups made money by illegal means. Drugs, protecting, robbing... So why argue about which one was right or wrong?
@Squendal13 жыл бұрын
IRA, UDA, UVF, whatever, all were bad. I try to look into both sides of everything. For some reason I think that all these channels on KZbin are owned by people who were directly affected by the Troubles, like "orangedemocrats". It all could have been prevented if Catholics were just given civil rights in the first place anyway. So I guess we can blame people like Paisley for being stubborn. All was horrific none-the-less.

That is why Loyalist prisoners in Long Kesh nick named "The Elephantman". Kelly is said to be wracked not only with agonising injuries and scars but also a terrible guilt. Such guilt, for the cold blooded murder of women and children, has lead him to the brink of suicide many times. Indeed, rumour has it around Ardoyne that Kelly would have ended his life long ago if it had not been for the personal intervention of Gerry Adams. We live in the hope that next time nobody talks him around. NS.

Which was fueled by his Provo masters, who gave young 'volunteers' large amounts of the stuff (supplied to PIRA by the Columbian drug cartel FARC) before they went out to plant or transport bombs, such was the unreliability of their explosive devices (a quick bit of research will show you just how many Provos died in 'premature' explosions). Although the Shankill bomb, which was designed to kill as many civilians as possible, didn't kill Kelly, it left him with terrible injuries......
@oz164113 жыл бұрын
The drug dealing Provo Godfathers, men like Gerry Kelly and Bubbles Copeland, sent two young and gullible men on a suicide mission, they just neglected to tell them it was a one way trip. FACT-- Thomas 'Bootsy' Begley was a glue sniffer and former joy rider, the Provos gave him the choice, join up or be put out of the country. Those who knew him said he could barely read & write. Sean 'Elephantman' Kelly was described as being educationally "sub normal" and also had an addiction to cocaine....

This is such a sad song. But whoever wrote this did an amazing job. I wonder how Britain was able to keep troops in Northern Ireland for almost 30 years without going bankrupt. The NI conflict must've cost Britain billions of pounds.

Ex RAF Regiment myself, having served in Northern Ireland, this song epitomises the whole truth of what we believed was the truth. We served to protect the innocent that was the goal, yet we were called scum throughout. For the love our nation! Yes, this song means so much to me. Thank you for putting this on here. may God bless and keep you safe!

Theres no plans to award the medal to veterans, many of whom have given a lot more than five years service during the reign of Her Majesty. The IRA were gangsters. Pure and simple. They raised funds by doorknocking Catholic areas, late at night. If the (often poor) residents did not give, petrol would be poured through the letterboxes in their front doors, and a lighted match would follow. Catholic neighbourhoods in Belfast could easily be recognised, as the letterboxes were all boarded over. The IRA terrorised the very people they said they were fighting for. There is no lower form of life. Gutless, worthless filth.

... I'm surprised at all of you, both the Irish AND the British. You still see black and white, whilst that dead soldier boy saw a different color. He sacrificed himself for humanity, not for a flag. Not for a damned civil war, not for king or country. He took the biggest bullet of that conflict. So Fuck all of you who say Up the 'RA or Rule Britannia in this video.

This is such a depressing song. I went to school in the UK back in the early 90's, J4-3rd form. They NEVER taught us anything about the Troubles in NI. The teachers couldn't or wouldn't talk to us about it.
