I'd like to see Noel and Julian star in ensemble shows like Darkplace rather than another Boosh series or film.

So Noel said that you say a joke once and then poof it’s gone and you can’t tell it again. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched or listened to mighty boosh radio show since 2006. And it still makes me laugh and smile, and I still quote many of the jokes and Crimps to other fans and also people that have never watched it! Crimps are the best!

Mr Fielding, I hope some day you wake up in the shower naked wrapped in cling film,at Glastonbury wondering where you left your tent, And wondering where your life has gone. Yeah the rest of us wake up clinging to the rail on the central line, dreaming of pret a maggot for lunch, If it's the end of the month,, payday. Suck it in, you worthless peices of shite. Boosh that with your bollux. Shame on you, do you realise that there's people out there with no talent whatsoever, trying to scrape a living. No, you haven't given it a seconds thought. Shame shame. Respect.

We're actually close in age, but he inspires a bit of maternal/aunt reaction from me; I just am so pleased whenever I see him happy. (Ok, honestly, I do the whole "maternal thing" a lot, but it's strong w some.) I find myself avoiding finding out much about him or watching his stand up for fear that I may find out something quite unpleasant. (As it is, upon seeing some of the art, I thought, "Oh. Oh Noel, dear...um." *tsk. lol) Glad to hear that his parents seem to be quite nice. Wonderful for the Goth Detective.

This might be the first interview of Noel’s I’ve seen where he’s not really “on” but is speaking more from the heart and being quite pensive and reflective. He’s clearly an intelligent and humble soul, it’s really nice to see.

I loved Luxury Comedy, and was teaching in American art colleges then. I'd often show it to classes and point out all the references in order to teach some history in an entertaining way. I tried rewatching it recently and really couldn't stand it. I got old, I guess.

With regard to her question why there aren't as many women as men in comedy. I propose that it coincides with the roles men and women have played for over 100,000 years from a biologic/genetic perspective. Think sperm and egg. One egg with thousands of "contenders" for the egg's favors. A man must "impress" a woman to gain her favors and be able to mate with her. She is the gatekeeper to sex and thus doesn't have to be funny or exhibit many of the other traits/skills men must in order to assure their viability. For women, it's a different set of traits.

I think the secret is to stand next to your art and follow it all the way along the line. I think David Bowie once summed it up perfectly. If only I could remember it, I would quote it.

I was so surprised when the Boosh just kind of fizzled out. I mean this show was absolutely massive. I remember the anticipation when season 3 was about to air, seemed everyone was talking about it. My honest feeling about it is that maybe they were starting to run out of ideas. The show really hit its peak with season 2 and I’m sure I remember Noel saying at some point that they try to never use a character more than once. However is season 3 we saw the return of the hitcher character from season 1 and in season 3 there was probably a bit of an overuse of the shaman council and especially Tony Harrison. It didn’t bother me as I find them all hilarious, but I just wonder if the pressure of the success was hindering their creativity by the end. All that aside, the Boosh is timeless. Julien and Noel were a superb double act and I thank them for what they created and for providing so many laughs.

I've strangely found that shows that go over 3 or 4 series just become stale, Father Ted, I.T Crowd, The Office all ran for about 3/4 series. I've noticed US shows run forever sometimes and they're shite 😅
