I own several old school and msc smf and honestly , this is THE holy grail design from Mick Strider , THE RW-1 is the legendary folder kinda like the excalibur of folder for me , i sold it 10 years ago and still searching to buy another one without sucess since the last 5 years. Omega Rare !

How do you deal with the belt splice. I've just converted a surface grinder to run belts as well and I get some chatter on new and old belts

what are the benefits of the conversion? I have a boyar schultz challenger 618 surface grinder that i am wondering what to do with. I got it in an estate sale as a package deal with a 113" vertical band saw and a DoAll 13 lathe. I wasn't really interested in the grinder but it was all together. I have thought about making it into a mill as i don't really have a need or use for the surface grinder, and resale especially in its current condition it is in is very low.
